What if the greatest freedom you have as a believer is the freedom to give up your freedom for someone else?

That is the heart of Romans 14:13-21, and it is a challenge worth sitting with.

Pastor Alex shared this week’s message from Romans reminding us that Christian maturity is not about insisting on our rights. It is about loving others enough to set those rights aside. As Paul writes, we are called not to put a stumbling block in our brother’s way. That is not weakness. That is Christlike love.

This past Wednesday, Pastor Brose shared from Psalm 52 on the difference between Faith vs. Fear.

Fear focuses on the “what ifs,” but faith chooses to trust “who God is”. 🌿

“...I trust in God’s unfailing love forever and ever.” — Psalm 52:8

As Elder Dudley shared in our transition from Job to Ecclesiastes, we’re reminded of two questions that meet us in different seasons of life:

Job asks: Why do righteous people suffer?
Ecclesiastes asks: What gives life lasting meaning?

Different questions, yet both lead us back to the same beautiful truth: God Himself is our greatest treasure.

And as we continue this One Year Bible journey together, we’re reminded to fix our eyes on Jesus—the One who gives meaning to our journey and carries us through every season.

“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith…” — Hebrews 12:2

Keep seeking. Keep trusting. Keep your eyes on Jesus.

There is a sweetness to Sundays that can be easy to overlook.

It’s in the worship, but it’s also in the moments between—the prayers shared, the hands held, the hugs, the laughter, the conversations that linger a little longer.

It’s in being reminded that church is more than a place we gather. It’s a family we get to walk through life with. 🤍

Grateful for every little moment and for the people God has placed around us. We look forward to seeing you this weekend!

You know who you’ve been thinking about. Invite them. See you tonight at 6:30PM!

Unity does not mean uniformity. Romans 14 reminds us that God has received every believer, and our job is not to judge one another over non-essential convictions but to run our own race with our eyes fixed on Jesus.

One day we will each stand before the judgment seat of Christ and give an account of how we ran our race. The question is not whether someone else ran it the way you did. The question is whether you submitted every step to the Lordship of Christ, motivated by love.

Run your race. Fix your eyes on Jesus. And let God handle the rest.

We look forward to seeing you! Bring a friend and come fellowship with us! Service Times: 8:00AM | 9:45AM | 11:30AM

What are you worshiping?

The book of Hosea delivers a sobering truth: we become like what we worship. Israel chased idols and became empty, dry, and fruitless. The same happens to us when we place anything above God.

But here is the good news. God does not give up on His people. He draws us back with cords of love (Hosea 11:4), offers healing for our backsliding (Hosea 14:4), and promises to rain righteousness on hearts that seek him (Hosea 10:12).

The question is whether we will let Him plow the hard, fallow ground of our hearts. That process is painful, but the deeper the furrow, the greater the blessing that follows.

“Who is wise? Let him understand these things, for the ways of the Lord are right.” - Hosea 14:9

This week, Pastor Austen Gill shared from 2 Corinthians 1:3–4, reminding us that God is the source of all comfort. In our moments of pain, hardship, and uncertainty, He meets us right where we are and strengthens us with His presence.

But there’s more to His comfort — what we receive from the Lord can become a source of comfort and encouragement to someone else. The same comfort God gives us in our struggles is the comfort we can extend to those walking through their own.

Our story, our struggles, and even the places where God has carried us can become a testimony of His faithfulness. We are comforted so that we can comfort others.

“...the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” — 2 Corinthians 1:3–4
