It’s okay to ask God questions.

Sometimes we enter seasons where we question God. We question his timing, his plan, his promises& sometimes, if we’re being completely honest, we may even question whether he is real!

If that’s where you are today I want to encourage you….that doesn’t make you a bad Christian. It makes you human!

Many of us were raised believing we should never question God. But throughout the Bible we see people who loved God asking him difficult questions. God already knows what’s in your heart so don’t hide your thoughts from Him….bring them to him!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

People often ask me, “After everything you’ve been through, why do you still believe in God? Why do you still trust him?”

My answer is simple….its because my life is living evidence that he is real!

When I look back over my life I don’t just see the pain…I see God’s hand. I see the doors he opened that no one else could. I see the protection I didn’t even realize I needed. I see the prayers he answered even when hisanswer wasn’t what I wanted. I see his grace carrying me through seasons that should have broken me. If it had not been for God I honestly don’t know where I would be today!

Another misconception is that once you give God your “yes,” life gets easier. The truth is it gets harder. The moment you decide to follow Christ wholeheartedly, the enemy begins fighting harder because he wants you to give up on the purpose God has placed inside of you. He wants you to question your calling, your identity, and your faith he wants to take away your YES. But don’t mistake spiritual opposition for God’s absence.

“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33

“Consider it pure joy… whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” — James 1:2–3

So if you’re in a season of questioning…don’t run from God run to Him! Bring him your doubts, your fears, your frustrations, and your questions. He is not intimidated by them. He is faithful enough to meet you right where you are.

Sometimes the greatest testimonies aren’t built in the easy seasons they’re built in the seasons where you kept trusting God even when you didn’t understand Him.

The Chosen, Covered & Called Corner

One thing God has been teaching me is that being set apart isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes being set apart means walking a different path than the people around you. It means saying no when others say yes. It means standing on what God said even when nobody else understands it.

The truth is, God didn’t call us to fit in with the world. He called us to be different. He called us to be a light. He called us to walk in purpose.

Before you were ever born, God already knew you. He already had a plan for you.

He already set you apart.

So stop shrinking to make others comfortable. Stop questioning what God has already confirmed.
Walk boldly in who God created you to be!!!

One thing I’ve learned is that when you stop seeing people only as a parent, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, cousin, or friend, and start discerning from the holy spirit, you’ll understand why family isn’t always everything.

We’re taught to keep giving people chances because “that’s family,” but nobody talks about what happens when you’re the one breaking generational cycles. Often, you become the outcast. Nobody tells you that just because someone is related to you doesn’t mean their spirit is aligned with yours.

As you grow, heal, and walk in your purpose, what you carry spiritually will naturally make some people uncomfortable. Not because you’ve changed for the worse, but because what you’re carrying no longer aligns with what’s in them.

Stop allowing people to repeatedly hurt you, disrespect you, or drain you simply because they’re family. Boundaries are not betrayal. Discernment is not disrespect.

I don’t treat people differently because I think I’m better than them. I move differently because I pay attention to what holy spirit has revealed. If I discern jealousy, hidden motives, or ill intentions, I know how to carry that relationship accordingly.

I’m not acting different. I just see differently now!

God constantly reminds me that my story is a lot like Esther’s. Everybody looks at Esther and sees the bravery, the favor, and the crown… but a lot of people miss everything connected to her story that helped prepare her for the assignment.

Esther was willing to risk EVERYTHING to save her people, protect her family, and protect her bloodline. But truthfully, she would’ve never been able to fully walk in that calling without Mordecai. He helped guide her, cover her, correct her, and remind her who she was when fear could’ve made her stay silent. That’s why your circle REALLY matters.

And honestly these past season made me understand why God started removing certain people out of my life while also sending new people in. My story is too connected to purpose for me to stay attached to people who are not aligned with where God is taking me. Everybody cannot go where God is taking you. Some people were attached to me but not assigned to me.

God keeps showing me that just like Esther, part of my assignment is bigger than me. Esther had to go back and stand in the gap for people connected to her, and I feel that deeply. I know I’m called to go back and help people who were just like me… people who felt rejected, overlooked, counted out, misunderstood, and broken.

That’s why my circle matters so much in this season. The wrong people can talk you out of purpose while the right people can help push you into it. Esther had purpose on her life, but Mordecai was part of the preparation.

Now I understand why certain people had to be removed from my life. It wasn’t punishment. It was protection, alignment, and preparation for the assignment God placed on my life before I even knew it existed! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

Im beyond thankful for the people God has placed in my life such as my leaders, mentors, accountability partners and more!
