Corporate volunteers from our Indianapolis Red Shield Symposium Sponsor, The National Bank Of Indianapolis, prepped supplies for an upcoming blessing bag distribution. More than 200 blessing bags are planned for residents in The Salvation Army affordable housing, many of whom use SNAP benefits which no longer provide them cleaning supplies.

Volunteers counted and bundled prayer cards, bath towels, kitchen towels, wash rags, scrubbies, handmade pillow cases, and devotional books.

Thanks to The Salvation Army - LaPorte, IN and these incredible volunteers and sponsors, students in LaPorte schools have nutritious meals to eat every weekend during the school year. For many families, the weekends are a challenging time to try to find the resources to ensure there are 3 meals available every day. The Laporte backpack program ensures that no kid goes hungry.

Did you know that every Salvation Army location across Indiana is helping to provide vital social services to individuals in need? These services include life skills classes, budgeting help, financial assistance, finding community resources and so much more. In 2025 throughout the state of Indiana, 292,064 individuals were provided basic social services through The Salvation Army.
