The SSOI main goals are to arrange and organize Sikh religious events such as the Sikh Day Parade known as the Nagar Kirtan in the city of Indianapolis, Indiana every year. Another goal is to provide knowledge of the Sikh religion
SSOI will involve the Sikh Youth in
fulfilling the Aims and Objectives. SSOI will cooperate with all the religious Institution (Gurdwara Sahib) to fulfill their religious aims and objectives. Donations will ONLY be used to fulfill The “Aims and Objectives” written in ARTICLE II of the SSOI Bylaws, as well as being used for charitable needs. To performs Sikh religious ceremonies and hold seminars and conferences about the Sikh religion. To publish small books, booklets, pamphlets and magazines about Sikhism that enrich the general public. Provide religious educational forums that promote the teachings of the Sikh Gurus, by inviting local, state and federal officials to the celebrations of significant Sikh events. Maintain alliance and cooperation with other organizations with similar aims and objectives. Take steps for the betterment and advancement of Sikh community and help its members to both adjust into/and contribute to the US society at large, without compromising their religious values, beliefs and identity in any way or form whatsoever.
