What a Sunday at Scott United Methodist Church - Indy! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Worship was on point and The Word challenged us to recognize when we’re running on empty, to accept Jesus’ invitation to come, lay down the weight, and receive the rest our souls desperately need.

We were reminded that Jesus doesn’t shame weary people—He welcomes them.

Whatever this week brings, don’t keep running on empty.

You don’t have to pretend you’re not tired. If life has left you weary, overwhelmed, or simply RUNNING ON EMPTY, there is still a place where weary souls can find rest.

Join us at Scott United Methodist Church tomorrow at 11:30 AM as Pastor Annettra Jones shares from Matthew 11:28–30.

We’ll also gather at the Lord’s Table for Communion Sunday and observe Pack the Pantry Sunday—so bring non-perishable food items as we help refill the shelves and bless our community.

Come with your empty cup. Come as you are. There’s room at the Table, and there’s still a refill for you. 💚🙏🏾

We’ve Come This Far BY FAITH!!!! Our 118th Church Anniversary Celebration was a success. We were strengthened by the reminder that when Scott was damaged by arsonists, the people chose to worship in the church parsonage.

Today, we worshipped in the church Annex that was built in 2004, and has served as a place for storage over the past two years. We choose to give God glory for what remains instead of grieving what was.

We have faith that the SAME GOD who helped us rebuild before is the SAME GOD who will make a way for us to rebuild again. So the celebration continued with a church picnic on Saturday and worship on Sunday. We were blessed by Rev. Jevon Caldwell-Gross who powerfully preached and reminded us to “Mind Our Business.” The link to the sermon is in the comments!

Thank you to all who made this weekend possible. Let’s keep marching onward and upward!
