We are so grateful to God for anointing and appointing the Rev. Annettra Jones as our Pastor! We hope you will join us as we celebrate her first year at Scott UMC on 7/12/2026.

There will be two services with two dynamic pastors bringing a Word from on high! There will be music, refreshments, and fellowship! You don't want to miss it!

On Thursday, more than 20 leaders convened for our inaugural in-person Leadership Development and Ministry Alignment training session, led by Pastor Timothy E Findley Jr.

Pastor Tim facilitated an exceptional session entitled, "PLANNING WITH PURPOSE, EXECUTING WITH EXCELLENCE: The Making and Maturing of a Ministry Leader."

This session marks the beginning of an ongoing training initiative, made possible through a Resource Grant from The Center For Congregations.

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well lived, Scott United Methodist Church announces the passing of our beloved member, Mary Lynne Southern.

Please keep the Southern family in your prayers during this time of loss and remembrance. May God’s peace and comfort surround all who grieve.

Sis. Mary was our church treasurer and a faithful disciple who served in so many capacities. Her kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit touched many lives, and she leaves a great legacy and deep void at Scott. While we mourn her passing, we give thanks to God for the gift of her life and the legacy of servanthood she leaves behind.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:21

We invite all who knew and loved Sis. Mary to join us as we celebrate her life.

💜🥫 THE SCOTT UMC OUTDOOR PANTRY IS NOW OPEN! 🥫💜

We are excited to announce that our new 24/7 Outdoor Food Pantry is officially open and available to our community!

This ministry was made possible in part through the generous support of Metro Ministries, Inc.. We are deeply grateful for their grant investment, which helped turn this vision into reality.

We recognize that food pantries are a short-term response to a long-standing issue. We pray for the day when justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream—when every family has access to healthy food, living wages, affordable housing, and the resources needed to thrive.

Until that day comes, we remain committed to tending to the needs of our neighbors and addressing food insecurity with compassion, dignity, and love.
