Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice of love for us. We were given the chance to truly be children of light. In repentance we can be forgiven of our sins and made clean by the blood of the Lamb so that we can walk the path of righteousness. A life that is good, just, and holy will lead us to eternal life, but it will also lead us down the path of many blessings in the days of our living.

The Lord is gracious and will forgive us when we seek Him in repentance. So must we forgive those who trespass against us. If we seek the Lord for His mercy, then we are to also show mercy. Mercy will be withheld from us if we withhold showing mercy unto others.

Jesus loves mankind so much that He gave His life so that we may have eternal life. When we come before Him in repentance and seek His forgiveness, redemption, and restoration, He casts the sin from us as far as the east is from the west. He forgets our sin, and so must we also cast it from us and not commit the same sin again.

Jesus died for our sins and took them to the grave with Him. We are to no longer walk in sin, but to walk the path of righteousness and to do all that is good, just, and holy. To be like Jesus, we need to leave the old man or woman at the grave and walk in the newness of a clean and purified heart.
