He Knows Your Name

He Knows Your Name He Knows Your Name Ministry exists to honor every child of God with a name in life and dignity and honor in death. Linda is a sought-after speaker.

Linda is the founder of He Knows Your Name, a ministry that gives children a name in life and dignity and honor in death. Linda also partners with mothers who do not want their children’s legacies to be the circumstances of their death. Her aim is to assist the grieving to find healing in loss and purpose in knowing every life is sacred to God. She has been interviewed regularly in local and regio

nal media. Linda has had several international media interviews. Linda is married to Steve her high school sweetheart. They live in Indiana where they raised their four children. Linda is “Honey” to 3 grandchildren. The Birth of a Ministry:
He Knows Your Name was birthed in October of 2009 when the body of a newborn baby, dressed only in a diaper, was discovered in downtown Indianapolis. Three thoughts rang through my head:

A dumpster is NOT a grave! A diaper is NOT a burial gown! And Doe is NOT a name! Sadly it is a fact that, even with the Safe Haven law, babies are still abandoned, buried in nameless graves, with no headstone to mark either their deaths or – more importantly – their lives. He Knows Your Name Ministry strives to ensure that every child receives a name in life and dignity and honor in death.

Today is International Widow’s Day.

Last Independence Day weekend we had the honor of returning a veteran to his wife ❤️🇺🇸

In the summer of 2025, we were a part a conversation with a local funeral director, and learned that there was a widow who lost her husband of 37 years, and was unable to pick his remains. 💙🇺🇸

In our conversation, we learned that this sweet woman lived very close to the home of Molly (who works alongside HKYN).
It was our honor to pick him up and transport him to his loving wife this 4th of July weekend. Bringing him to her was a privilege. ❤️🇺🇸

Today we remember and pray for widows.
We are grateful for this man’s service.
We honor Veterans for their sacrificial service for FREEDOM. Dignity is given because all LIFE is sacred.

This father. Doing the impossible to honor our daughter, Anna. Today, he’s feeling it deeply. I’m so proud of him. His warrior spirit fought the good fight and has been broken and bruised. I recognize all the dad’s today who have buried their child. Today is complicated, and in a effort to hold joy & sorrow, it is a challenge to manage your emotions because you’re feeling it mind, body & soul. My son, Andrew, helped his father stand on this day as Steve eulogized Anna, something no father should have to do. This honor is deeply felt as I reflect with heaving tears how our children deeply love & loved their dad. Honored Father’s Day to all dad’s who are missing words, hugs and love today. Bless a dad today who’s grieving.

To the fathers who have their own, who have lost, who have accepted and loved others as their own, and those who shape and influence in the best way without being a father -- thank you for investing in and loving the children in your life. Happy Father's Day!

Loneliness Awareness Week (June 21st- 27th)

This week we pause to remember the 355 unclaimed adults from the Marion County Coroner’s office we have partnered with to lay to rest with honor and dignity.

Out of the darkness…
Into the light.
No longer hidden.
Remembered.
Honored.
Celebrated.

Not alone.
Laid to rest together.

This video was taken September 26th, 2022. The first time we partnered with the Marion County Coroner’s Office to lay to rest unclaimed adults. This is a clip of each individual’s name being read, and each person being carried to their final resting place. 173 people were laid to rest that day.

In 2022…173 names etched in stone at Oaklawn Cemetery ▪️
In 2023… 75 names etched in stone at Floral Park Cemetery▪️
In 2024… 48 names etched in stone at Floral Park Cemetery▪️
In 2025… 38 names etched in stone at Floral Park Cemetery ▪️

Fox Hollow Friday

Many of the spaces I am invited into are filled with new faces.
Every event I attend I leave connecting with someone I’ve never met before.

Last month at a speaking engagement a lovely woman came up and introduced herself to me.
She had been reading my book, and put two and two together, that I was the author of the book she was reading, and the keynote speaker that night.

She shared that she was Jeff Jones’ cousin. Jeff Jones is one of the men who tragically passed away in the Fox Hollow tragedy. She was introduced to He Knows Your Name because of her cousin. Such a special conversation.
She is a kindred spirit in honoring and protecting life.

I love when the stories of my life collide. It affirms the work God has given me to do.

Last June, I met with the honorable Speaker Todd Huston and honorable Representative Dale DeVon.

I was thankful for the opportunity to sit with these Indiana leaders and tell of the history of HKYN. We share in the Kingdom message of life and our shared desire to elevate dignity on all human life.  When we choose to honor those who are deceased with dignity, we uproot generational darkness, and bring justice to those who are lost.

We talked about the issue of unclaimed cremated adults in funeral homes, and the growing concerns of giving those who go unclaimed a final disposition.

At the time of this conversation, we celebrated in the fact, that since baby Amelia, who was found in December 2014, no baby had been found abandoned and deceased in the state of Indiana.
However, in September of last year, precious baby Haven was found at Brookside Park.
The need for education and awareness around the Safe Haven Law is crucial.

This conversation happened in preparation for the celebration for the 25 year anniversary of the SHL I hosted last November.

Praying for those in leadership in my state today 🩵
