It’s the final week of Race to Restock! As we head into our 4th and final turn, our greatest need is small kitchen appliances. While these items may seem simple, being able to provide essentials like toasters, crockpots, coffee makers, and blenders can make a house truly feel like home for these individuals and families. We would love to have our entire shopping list covered and purchased so we can move in the 20+ we have confirmed on May 30th!

For Turn 3 of Race to Restock, we’re focusing on TVs! While a television may feel like an everyday item to many of us, for someone transitioning out of homelessness and into stable housing, it can provide a sense of comfort, rest, dignity, and normalcy in a brand-new home.

We would love for you to consider donating a TV this week as we help furnish these spaces with care and compassion.

Race to Restock 2026 is here!! In preparation for Clear the List on May 30th, we need to restock the warehouse so that we have enough items to deliver to our neighbors in need. Each week, we will be focusing on a “turn” around the track to gather donations for these items that are low in stock. This week is mattresses and bedding!!

If you wish to donate a mattress or bedding, simply click the link in our bio and click on “Race to Restock 2026”. From there you will be able to navigate to our Amazon wishlist. Be sure to bring your donations to Soma on Sunday so you can put them in the box trucks.

Mark your calendar for our church wide service event — Clear the List!! On Saturday, May 30th we will be hosting the 3rd annual Clear the List where volunteers unite to load up box trucks with furniture, home goods, and hygiene items for neighbors who recently experienced homelessness and now have a home. And we get to deliver those items as well! It is such a tangible way to be the hands and feet of Jesus and we can’t wait to serve alongside one another in a few weeks!

Soma Moms is a ministry within Soma that seeks to come alongside women who practice the way of Jesus together in the mission of motherhood. The theme of Soma Moms this year was “Storied”, inspired by Acts 17:28 — “in Him we live and move and have our being.” Throughout the year, women shared how God had been at work in and through their motherhood. We celebrated the unique story He is writing in each of our lives. 

We are excited to further this ministry and continue to see how God moves. More to come on our next Soma Moms semester!

“He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.” Luke 24:6-7

This Friday we will gather together to remind ourselves of the ultimate sacrifice that was made on our behalf - Jesus Christ dying on the cross to bear our sins. We will worship, remember, and pray together to prepare our hearts for the hope and celebration of Easter!

Here’s what’s on the calendar at Soma next week! Join us Monday morning in the Prayer Room for an hour of communal prayer to start our week seeking God’s face together.

We are currently in a series called Wisdom for the People of God! As we sojourn our way through Lent, we are exploring the theme of Wisdom being revealed and also learning what it means to experience discernment towards the light. Coming out of Easter, we will dive into what life and Wisdom look like in light of the Resurrection.

It has already been an enriching series and we are excited to press in further to what God is teaching us! You can find the previous sermons on YouTube (link in bio) and we hope you continue to follow along with us.
