NCCLC “New Covenant Church” If you take care of God's business; God will take care of yours. In the fall of 2006 Elder Eugene Simmons, III felt a calling on his life.

His desire was to reach out to the community to help those in need. Elder Simmons, Shawna Simmons(First Lady) and 12 saints gathered in their home to organize a mission. On that very evening the birth of that mission was formed. The name of the church was called Vision For Souls Christian Life Center. On the suggestion of our new Team Leader of the Deacons, an offering was taken. They began to hav

e bible study in Pastor and First Lady Shawna Simmons home. Meanwhile they were in need of a building to carryout God's plan for their lives. The first service was scheduled 5th, 2006 at 4pm all the while a location was not secured. But their trust was in the Lord. The first service was held at New Birth Baptist Church where the Pastor Alfred Brown was the senior pastor. This was not their permanent home and they stayed there for 30 days. In the next month the region(ABCGI) moved them into Lynhurst Community Center. During this time God introduced them to Covenant Baptist Church and they voted unanimously to take them in. The first Sunday in January 2007 they had their first service and now currently reside there. Today Vision and Covenant have gone through many transformations including joining their churches together to become New Covenant Christian Life Center. By doing this they have become what God envisioned them to be...a multicultural church.

Good afternoon church family

The Simmons family requires your prayers on this afternoon. My brother Tony went back into emergency and he coded at Eskenazi. They were fortunate enough to get him back, but of course we don’t know what the long-term effect is truly it’s Pastor going to have time in his life and I’m 100% relying on God‘s strength because I have none left. I am asking my church family to keep the Simmons family in prayer God bless you all.

What an incredible Easter Sunday we had! Our hearts are so full reflecting on the powerful message, uplifting worship, and the beautiful time spent together celebrating the resurrection of Jesus.

Seeing so many families come together, smiling, worshipping, and making memories was truly a blessing. 💛 We’re so grateful for every person who joined us—it just wouldn’t have been the same without you!
