Indy Vineyard Church

Indy Vineyard Church We desire to encounter the love and power of God and give it away to the world. Our story begins in the summer of 1985. Join us.

Quite simply, the Vineyard Community Church is a growing community of people desiring to live out authentic relationships with God and each other. Guess jeans, Izod shirts and giant hairdos. We started off meeting in the living room of our founding pastor, Bill Jackson, with a passion for seeking God and serving people. As that first group grew and multiplied, the church began to meet at the local

YMCA. Since 2006, we’ve been gathering at our facility on Craig Street. But our story isn’t mainly about buildings and history. It’s about people – people hungry for a real encounter with the love and power of God – people longing to live out the calling of Jesus. People wanting to put flesh and blood on the truth of the Gospel. It’s about people with ideas and dreams and about the mystery that brings them together as a people called by God – a church. It’s about people encountering God and being transformed. And, it’s about those transformed people trusting God to become a community that offers transformation to the world. No matter who you are or where you’ve been, you are welcome to discover the way of Jesus as part of our community. When you come to the Vineyard on a Sunday morning, you can expect around 30 minutes of worship through music, followed by a biblical message relevant to the here and now in your life.

❤️‍🔥 HEALING IS HAPPENING ❤️‍🔥

This hug came after a special moment of encounter with the Lord following healing prayer. 🙏

Lately, we’ve been seeing the Lord move in healing in our midst as we make space, pray for one another, and trust Him with the results.

We love using the Wimber 5-Step Healing Prayer Model:
1️⃣ Interview
2️⃣ Diagnostic Decision
3️⃣ Prayer Selection
4️⃣ Prayer Engagement
5️⃣ Post-Prayer Direction

It’s simple: love people, listen to the Holy Spirit, pray with faith, and leave the results to God.

We’re grateful for what Jesus is doing among us! 🕊️❤️‍🔥

Come, Holy Spirit!

There is no Wimber Class (MC-510) this Labor Day Weekend if you were planning on attending tomorrow.

🎨 Connecting Compassionate Response with the Arts & Worship 🙏

The needs around us are growing. Crisis, trauma, and mental health struggles touch nearly every family and congregation—but many believers feel unprepared to respond.

Together, we’ll explore how congregations and artists can respond to a hurting world through Spirit-led, arts-based, trauma-informed creative approaches.

🎨 Creativity. 🙏 Worship. ❤️ Compassion.

🔥 THE SPIRIT OF REVIVAL 🔥

Charles Finney described revival as:

“the return of the Church from her backslidings, and the conversion of sinners.”

In our message, “The Spirit of Revival,” from 8/9/26 we look at what revival has looked like in the past, what God is doing in the present, and how we can invite Him to bring revival into our future as a church.

As we step into this next season, we believe we are entering into something amazing.

It is truly a special time to be a part of the Indy Vineyard as we lean into prophetic words that have been spoken over our church about revival coming to this house.

May we be a people who are ready for what God wants to do—in us, through us, and in our city!

This week we’re sitting with Psalm 46. 📖

🔍 Read slowly.
🤍 Notice what catches your attention.
🕊️ Ask the Holy Spirit, “What are You highlighting today?”
🙏 Respond honestly.
🌱 Carry one verse with you into the rest of your day.

May God’s Word shape our hearts as we make space to be with Him. ✨

“The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” — Psalm 46:11

During worship, Julie Sparks painted a beautiful picture of the work of the Holy Spirit. A butterfly doesn’t transform by trying harder or thinking differently. Its transformation happens in the quiet, hidden place of the chrysalis. The change comes from within.

The same is true for us.

As we remain with Jesus in the secret place, the Holy Spirit transforms us—not through our own effort, but by His presence. 🌿

The green in the painting represents the throne of grace and the good soil where God’s Word takes root. As we participate with what He is already doing in our lives, He cultivates the fruit of the Spirit within us.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free…” — Galatians 5:1

And we stay free by remaining in step with the Holy Spirit. 🍃

May this be a reminder that there is hope. Your transformation is already underway, even when it’s hidden. Keep abiding. Keep trusting. The One who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it. 💚🦋
