Another Eclipse is Coming
Think for a moment about God’s great love; He loves all people. The bible speaks often of the vast greatness of God’s love—it's too huge, amazing and boundless for us to wrap our heads around. Even His love for those who reject Him, deny His very existence and rebel against His rightful authority and ownership; yes, even His love for them is more tremendous than our finite minds can understand. You see, His love is not based upon who and what we are, it’s based upon who and what He is. Besides being loving, compassionate and kind, He is also holy, perfectly righteous and just.
God’s word tells of a time that’s coming, a time when this awesomely huge love of God will be ECLIPSED by His Great Wrath against those who reject His love.
For example, Revelation 16:1 says, “Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go, pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.”
Have we forgotten about God demonstrating a bit of His wrath with the flood, killing everybody on earth except for Noah and his family? That’s mild compared to what’s coming! Throughout both the Old and New Testaments we are forewarned about God’s coming wrath. Here’s a bit more of Rev. 6. from 12 through 17.
“When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale. The sky vanished like a scroll that is being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, calling to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, FOR THE GREAT DAY OF THEIR WRATH HAS COME...” (Emphasis mine)
Yes, God’s mighty love will be eclipsed by His righteous indignation.
