Faith United Church of Christ Deconstructing and reconstructing Christians welcomed! We believe that "life is hard.... church shouldn't be." Faith UCC is an open and affirming congregation.

Faith United Church of Christ is a Jesus following, gay affirming and community serving church that believes when the Bible is read in context it always gives a life giving message. Our style is a blend of a smaller traditional church with more contemporary elements. Historically, Faith UCC came about as the result of a merger between Trinity and Second United Churches of Christ. You can see their

logos intertwined to form the Faith UCC logo. The history of those two predecessor churches can be traced back to the nineteenth and twentieth centuries with the immigration of western European populations into the Midwest. Long ago this church declared that:
The "avowed purpose" of this Church will be

the worship of the Triune God,
the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ,
the practice of loving service toward the needy,
the building of the Kingdom of righteousness,
the furtherance of Christian Unity, and
the promotion of Christian Fellowship.
