The family of Loraine Cox hosts a small gathering of visitation to remember Loraine Cox this afternoon from 2 to 4 pm at Leppert Mortuary (840 East 86th Street). We pray for peace and comfort for all who loved her and we gives thanks for her music ministry. She played the organ and many of the Lutheran churches in Indianapolis. Parked in the Salem lot at 8:30 today and saw this coyote (or a very thin neighborhood husky, as Brandy suspects) strolling down Pollard Street on the warm hazy Sunday morning. Worship begins at 10:30 - in person, online or on the radio. All are welcome.

We raise up in prayer the family and friends of Loraine Cox. Her daughter shares that she returned home to the Lord on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Loraine served as part-time organist at Salem for many years and became part of the Salem family. We have missed her and will pray for peace and comfort for all who knew and loved her. The obituary extends this invitation: Please join us any time on June 7 between 2 and 4 pm for a remembrance of Loraine at Leppert Mortuary (Nora), 740 E. 86th St., Indianapolis.

Saturday night (May 30) we see a BLUE MOON. The second full moon of the month should be the brightest Sunday morning at 4:45 am ET.
Sunday (May 31) is the fifth Sunday of the month. Our tradition at Salem is to ask for a second tithe or offering on the fifth Sunday to support our Good Samaritan Fund. Please mark your envelope or check “Good Sam” and help our friends and neighbors in need.

We celebrate The Holy Trinity. Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 13:13: "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you." And in the gospel (Matthew 28:19) Jesus sends his disciples forth to baptize in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We celebrate the gracious One-in-Three, eternal Three-in-One.
