Sadly, I have to share with you all this morning that Mel Camden passed early today. Mel's journey these last several months has been difficult as his physical condition deteriorated. The complications of the Covid 19 crisis has made things even more difficult with our inability to visit him in person. In spite of all this, I want to thank you all for the care and compassion you have shown to Mel and Pat over the last year. You have all lived out the love of Christ in showing love and compassion. Our church family truly is family to Mel and Pat and you have loved them well.
Arrangements for a service to honor Mel's life will be made over the next few days, we will share those details with you as soon as they are finalized. Please pray for Pat, we will be sharing this news with her later today at her memory care facility.

Don't forget, tomorrow morning, June 7, will be our first service back together in person. It will be a bit different than normal due to the social distancing recommendations but don't let that deter you from coming. It will just be so wonderful to be together again. We will only have service at 10:30 as we ease back into our normal pattern so no Sunday School this first week. Can't wait to see you all face to face (even if our faces are partially covered), I get to talk to people not just my phone screen. We will still be stream the message on Facebook Live for those who can't attend in person.

We are beginning to move back to some form of normalcy for our church activities. This evening is our mid week Bible study at 7 p.m. We will continue to stream these on Facebook Live but all are welcome to join us in person at our home. The reality is I look forward to seeing you all in person if you are comfortable with that. If you are not able or comfortable then please join us on Facebook.

Sunday morning we return to our normal in person Sunday School and worship. We will be live and it won't just be on Facebook! How great is that? We will ask everyone to have a mask per the mayor's instruction so if you don't have one we will have some available.

Can't wait to see you all!

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. Psalm 46:1 We are certainly facing troubling circumstances around, maybe giving us a sense of uncertainty. God is our certain source of comfort and strength, no matter the storm that brews around us. Rest in His peace today!
