Northwood Christian Church is pleased to formally welcome Mike Costa as our Music Director.
Though Mike has only been with us for less than three months, he has already brought renewed energy and creativity into the musical life of the congregation through hymn leadership, instrumental accompaniment, collaborative worship planning, and a growing spirit of congregational participation. Council members and congregants alike have expressed appreciation for both his musical gifts and his warm presence within the community.
We are excited for the continued growth of Northwood’s music ministry in the months ahead, including special musical offerings, community engagement opportunities, and the possibility of future concerts and events.

Bonnie Bomer, Student Minister will deliver our Mother's Day Sermon.

Bonnie is currently a second-year student at Christian Theological Seminary where she is pursuing a Master of Divinity degree. She hopes to use her degree and life experiences to help churches welcome and fully involve people with disabilities in faith communities. Bonnie is retired from the State of Indiana where she served for 19 years as a Disability Rights Advocate. Her areas of expertise included accessibility, employment, educational, and health care advocacy. She has over 34 years of experience in the disability field as an Advocate and a Case Manager.

Bonnie has a bachelor's degree in in Spanish and sociology, and a master's degree in public administration. She is currently a member of Central Christian Church in Indianapolis. During her lifetime, Bonnie has served in various faith communities as an Elder, platform assistant, prayer chaplain, and food pantry volunteer.

Bonnie is legally blind and has a Guide Dog named Fiesta. Bonnie has had Guide Dogs since 1990, and she has advocated for access rights for people with disabilities and their service dogs.
