Luke 8:39: "'Return to your own house, and tell what great things God has done for you.' And he went his way and proclaimed throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him."

Here Jesus heals a demon possessed man. The Bible states that the man had the demons for a long time. I think that many of us can relate to dealing with things for a long time before letting God take them from us..

Once healed, the man wanted to go with Jesus, and I would too. However, Jesus told him no, to go and tell others what He had done for him, and the man did.

We often want Jesus to do things for us, and we wonder why He doesn’t. I believe that it could be because Jesus wants to know how grateful we will be if He does what we want.

Are we going to keep what He does for us to ourselves, or are we going to go out and sing God’s praises to all of those that we see in order to bring glory to Jesus so that others will come to trust in Him?

It's okay to want God to do things for you. However, why should He do things for you if you are going to just keep it to yourself?

I believe that if you want God to show up in your life more, the solution is simple You need to sing God’s praises to all you meet. I believe that God will then do more in your life so that you will have more things to say to give Him glory.

When I meet the man from this Bible verse in Heaven, I want to ask him what else God did for him, and hear the amazing stories that this man will tell!

The best way to share Jesus is with your story, so tell it. Tell others what God has done for you, and do it with joy and enthusiasm.

If you do, people will then ask you what God has done for you lately. You will then be able to answer by telling them about all of the blessings that God has given you, because God will continue to do things for you, knowing that you will then share it with others so that they too can believe.

Remember, Jesus loves you, I love you, and you are awesome!

Many ask if there is such a thing as the unforgivable sin? For many, their answer is yes, the Bible says so.

Matthew 12:31-32 states: “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

But then there is this verse: I John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

So, if we confess blaspheming the Holy Spirit, will it be forgiven or not?

How do we sort this out? It is rather quite simple.

Blasphemy is the willful act of showing contempt, disrespect, or irreverence.

The reason that the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, is simply because the person committing it does not ask to be forgiven.

The number one job of the Holy Spirit is to convict us of sin. The Holy Spirit has the job of being the prosecuting attorney. His job is to get a conviction, why? It's so that we know that we need a savior. If we don’t know that we have done wrong, we don’t realize how much we need Jesus to pay for our sin.

So, the Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is not a particular sin. It is any sin where we refuse to listen to the Holy Spirit trying to tell us that something is not right. It's willfully ignoring the Holy Spirit.

It is not that God won’t forgive, it's that you just don’t ask for it.

Many wonder if they have committed this sin. The simple fact that you wonder that, means you most likely have not. As long as you have breath, you can allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you. You can always come back to Jesus and change your ways.

The danger of this sin is when people forget who they are and who God is. They forget that they are not worthy of going to heaven because of any sin. They think that they don’t ever measure up to God, BUT God loves them anyway and says that He will forgive them, no questions asked.
That is absolutely amazing! The problem is, some people get to the point in their relationship with Jesus where they forget how lost they originally were, and the relationship changes.

Jesus tells us not to fall into that dangerous place. Remember, He knows of your sin. He also says that He will forgive it, no matter what it is, as long as you are humble enough to embrace His grace for you because He is in love with you.

Now, what if you think you have committed it? As I said above, that means you probably haven’t, but if you have that feeling, that is the Holy Spirit trying to help you not get to that point. I would take a step back and look at your life and ask yourself why you feel like this. This is the Holy Spirit actually helping you keep your relationship with Jesus intact and alive. The Holy Spirit is actually trying to save you from yourself. Then if need be, repent and ask God for forgive you. It's that simple!

I know this, because the Holy Spirit has done this for me on many occasions. We are not perfect, and the Holy Spirit is there is convict and comfort us. What better comfort can there be, that the Holy Spirit convicted you of something that would hamper your relationship with Jesus. Now you can ask for forgiveness, and get back to the amazing relationship you want to have.

It is all about keeping your relationship with Jesus right. Then Jesus can continue to bless you like He has always wanted to.

Remember, Jesus loves you, I love you, and you are awesome!

Luke 14:22: "And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’"

Jesus tells the story of an amazing supper. The master of the feast sends the servants out to gather those who have been invited to this prestigious event. Everyone declines. The master then sends his servants out to the streets to invite anyone to come.

Then we have this verse. The servants do all that the master said, and their response is “and still there is room”.

This statement tells us that in Heaven there is room for everyone. No one is to be excluded.

I believe that if all of those invited would have come, the servants would have said the same thing, “and still there is room.”, and the master would have sent them out to invite everyone else to come.

Jesus made all of us, and wants all of us to come into His house and enjoy fellowship with Him. No one is to be excluded, because there is always room for more with Jesus.

Sometimes we can get into the thought process that we deserve to be in Heaven more than someone else. That is simply not the case. None of us derserve to be in Heaven, but yet the banquet hall is big enough for us all.

Jesus sends out His invitations, and I think it reads like this:

You are invited to the eternal party simply because I love you.

If you wish, you can bring a plus 1, or a plus of however many you desire. My house is big enough for all of you!

Remember, Jesus loves you, I love you, and you are awesome!

I do not want to go to church because they are hypocrites. I hear that a lot. What is a hypocrite? A hypocrite is a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings. A person who says one thing and then does something different on purpose. The key is on purpose.

Should people at church actually do what Jesus says? Yes.

Should they do it all the time? Yes

Will they? No, because we are all human. We make mistakes.

I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

This verse is written to believers, because they will make mistakes and will need to be forgiven again and again. Then you have this famous verse often quoted.

2 Chronicles 7:14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Once again this is written to people who are with the Lord, and says they too will make mistakes.

What makes a hypocrite a hypocrite? It is not making a mistake but doing it on purpose. An example is a person who calls themselves a Christian and says you need to stop lying, but at the same time lies in their business to get ahead. That person is a hypocrite. They are doing the opposite of what they say they believe.

It is true that many Christians in churches make the mistake of doing something they say they should not do. The true believer then will repent of that and work to change.

Another reason people think churches are full of hypocrites is because they preach against this but allow the same thing to happen. A church that does that is a Hypocrite. But there is also a right and a wrong way to do that. To just point that person out and tell them how bad they are is also being a hypocrite because Jesus is about love, and love works to help the person change to be something amazing.

Churches should preach the Bible, stand on the Bible, do as the Bible says, and when some fall, do not crush them but help them get right with the Lord, and at the same time not accept the sin as OK.

This takes guts on the people in the church to really look to help one another no matter what, and it takes great humility on the part of those in the church to accept this, knowing it is for their own good that the issue came up.

Yes, the church is full of people who still make mistakes. It does not mean they are all hypocrites. It just means they are all still learning. That is what Jesus asks for. When you go to a church look and see if this is actually what is happening. If you see something amiss bring it to the attention of the Pastor and see what happens. Sometimes things slip through the cracks that need to be addressed. We are all human. If nothing is done, call the church hypocritical, but if something is happening or something does happen, then they are following the teachings of Jesus.

One last thing about people who say the church is full of hypocrites and that is why I will not go. Doesn’t that by definition make you a hypocrite? You know God wants us to go to church. God asks if we will. The concept of church in almost everyone’s minds is that this is a good idea. Yes, there are churches out there that do not do the right thing (Just because a church says it is a church does not mean it actually is) God gave you a brain to figure that out. God also needs you there to help others grow close to God, sometimes by pointing out their mistakes and then helping them, and then lastly, you too make mistakes like all of us, and yet God still wants you to come. If God does not expect perfection, why should you?

Seeing that we all still makes mistakes actually shows us how much God loves all of us, and that truly no one is better than anyone else. We are all equal, all sinners, and all saved by grace (God’s love is a gift and you do not deserve it, but Jesus gives it to you just because you ask, wow!).

If you are looking for a perfect church, you will never find one on this planet. If you are looking for a church filled with people just like you, that is what the church is. And we all need one another to help us along this journey so we can please Jesus and be blessed and then be rewarded in heaven by the One who has it all, and can’t wait to share it all with you, yes you, even though you messed up on earth over and over again, but you were humble enough to try and do better every time He forgave you.

What a deal!

Remember Jesus loves you all, I love you all, and you are all Awesome!

Matthew 28:17: "When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted."

This verse comes right before the great commission where Jesus charges His disciples to share the Good News with everyone.

I love this verse, because these people followed Jesus, saw Him die, and now for most of them, for the second time, they are seeing Jesus alive and well.

This verse states that some still doubted. These people had tangible proof that they could touch, see, and communicate with, and yet they still doubted. These are the same people that Jesus entrusted with sharing His message, the most important message in the world.
Jesus knows that we will have doubts. We will wonder about this or that, and Jesus is okay with that. He knows us. So, just reach out and share those doubts with Him and let Jesus take them away.

If you doubt sometimes, that does not make you a terrible person. It does not disqualify you from God’s blessings or God’s service.

Allow those doubts to spark conversations with others, and especially with God. He will come and answer you in amazing ways so that you can grow. The best way to grow is to ask questions, and genuinely ask if something is the real thing. Jesus is very happy to answer that question for you because

Jesus loves you, I love you, and you are awesome!

Will we have to go through all that the book of Revelation describes if we are a Christian?

I believe that if you are a Christian now, Revelation 4-20 does not apply to you. I believe this to be true for a couple of reasons.
First, in I john 4:4 it states, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world."

This verse declares that as long as the Holy Spriit dwells within you, you have the power to defeat all of the schemes of the devil and his forces.

2 Thessalonians 2:5-7 states: "Do you not remember that when I was still with you, I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way."

In Paul’s second letter to the Thessalonians, Paul is addressing their concern about when Jesus will come back. Some of those in the church were scared, and some were wondering if they had missed His return. There was a lot of confusion.

Paul says here that the antichrist cannot rise in power until He is taken out of the way. The "He" is capitalized, which means it is referring to God, and in this case God the Holy Spirit.

Based on this, I believe that as long as there is one Christian on the planet, the devil’s plans at the end cannot come to fruition, because the Holy Spriit makes that person stronger than the devil.

When the rapture happens, there will be a moment in time when no one on the planet will be a Christian. They will all be gone. Thus, for the first time in human history, God the Holy Spriit will not dwell anywhere on the earth. The Holy Spirit will be taken out of the way.

I believe that in that instant is when the antichrist will rise to power. Now, I whole heartedly believe that it won't be very long thereafter before someone who missed the boat will come to their senses and come to Jesus, and the Holy Spirt will return at that time to that person. However, prior to that, for a brief moment in time, the Holy Spirit will not dwell in any human.

This is also backed up by the rest of the book of Revelation where it says that most will still not believe in Jesus.

So, why do we have the book of Revelation? It is to show us how important it is to lead people to Jesus now. Yes, they can still come to Jesus during the Great Tribulation, but it will be hard, much harder than we can imagine.

Think about this, Jesus says over and over again that during this age we will face tribulation. In Matthew 24:21, Jesus is talking about the end and makes a point that there will be a great tribulation like no one has ever seen. If Jesus is saying it is going to be great, we really have no idea how bad it will really be. Thus, do all that you can to share Jesus with someone today!

I said in the beginning that I have a couple of reasons for this belief, so here is the other.

In the Bible, Jesus says that the church is His bride.

Imagine if the one you were to marry were walking down the street and an 18-wheeler was coming around the corner. You saw it, but the one you loved did not. Would you just sit back and do nothing and see what happens (If this is you, please see me for marriage counseling, soon!) or would you do all that you could to save them?
I would think the latter. So, why would Jesus put us through the great tribulation if we have already accepted Him?

The great Tribulation has only one purpose, to show the humans that remain, that Jesus is emphatically Lord, with proof that they can see, feel, and experience. It will not be a pleasant time.

If we are already saved and have chosen to have a relationship with Jesus, what would be the point of going through that? I suggest that there would be none, and that allowing us to go through that would not be love.

I will end this by saying that I could be wrong. Maybe we will have to go through some or all of it. No one really knows for sure. But if you accept my arguments above, then the most important thing is even more important. That is to share the Gospel before it is too late, because those taking a wait and see approach, once the great tribulation happens, will probably be even less receptive to Jesus.

Share Jesus now! I am not really worried about pre, mid or post trib. What I am worried about is souls who need Jesus now! That is where our focus should always be!

If you need Jesus, say this prayer today.

Dear Jesus, I thank You that You came to earth to die for me and came back to life for me to forgive me of my sins, no questions asked. You did so, because You love me and want to have a relationship with me that lasts forever. Jesus, I want that starting right now. Amen.

Remember, Jesus loves you, I love you, and you are awesome!

05/14/2026

Luke 11:22: "But when a stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils."

Jesus is talking about your need to protect yourself. Everyone wants to be strong enough to defend themselves. Jesus is stating here what will happen if someone stronger comes in? The result is that you will lose all that you are protecting.

The key point here is, "all his armor in which he trusted". What armor do you trust in? The armor that you made that you hope will work? Or would you like to have armor that is 100% fully guaranteed to protect you?

In Ephesians, Jesus says that He will give you His personal armor to wear. He does not make a suit for you. Jesus says that you get to wear God’s armor.

God’s armor is 100% full proof. You can trust it 100%. However, often you don’t. For it to work, you have to put it on and keep it on.

If you do, then no one, not even the devil, can win. They can mess with you, but they can’t win. The only way that you can lose is if you decide to not trust God’s armor and take it off.

God gives you His armor because He loves you. It has nothing to do with your level of Bible knowledge. He knows where you are, and gives it to you, because you are His kid and He knows you need it. All you have to do is trust it and put it on, and then live your life not worrying about what will happen.

Remember, Jesus loves you, I love you, and you are awesome!
