Wild Goose Christian Community

Wild Goose Christian Community Wild Goose is a non-traditional worshiping community reaching out to those who might never darken the door of a traditional church.

Rocking chairs, bluegrass, Mason jars, potluck dinners, and Jesus; these all describe Wild Goose in a nutshell. Pews have been replaced with rockers, organs with banjos, and goblets with Mason jars. Additionally, Wild Goose has moved away from traditional, preacher-based worship into incorporating the congregated group; discussions occur instead of sermons. Through these means, Wild Goose creates

a vivid and extremely unique Appalachian experience for participants in the Uprisings. UPRISING INFORMATION:
Potluck meal begins at 6:30pm on Tuesday evenings, followed by the Uprising service.

We loved hosting the shared Revival between southwestern Virginia churches last night! It was a great evening of fellowship and worship with our friends from other churches. We also enjoyed having Rev. Wanda Childs lead our Uprising for the first time.
Already looking forward to next time on both counts!

Goose lost one of its faithful members yesterday. She was always at the end of the table asking you what you wanted to drink or running around getting things together for our Goose family. Her faithfulness and servant heart will be greatly missed.
