Hi PHUMW,

A message from our president, Jan Irvin:

Thanks to all of you so much for the hard work for Friday at the preschool graduation. Thanks to all who donated sandwiches, veggie pizza and strawberries! With so many hands ...making tea, washing dishes, decorating tables with handmade decorations, organizing and putting food out, cleaning off tables, and many more things. The event went well and I think by enjoyed by the adults as well as the children. The food was wonderful and displayed on the buffet table beautifully. The room was filled with bursts of bright color from the tables and happy little reminders of school activities. I hope we created a happy memory that the children will recall as they they become adults.

Again, thanks so much to each of you. I am thankful not only for this particular event, but for all the times that you walk through the fellowship hall doors doing more than your fair share. Your commitment to Pleasant Hill is truly appreciated.

Ladies,

Hopefully you are enjoying the beautiful spring weather. Hot weather will be here before we know it. Speaking of things arriving before we know it, our next quarterly meeting for the UMW is just around the corner. We have scheduled it for May 1st following the 11:00 sermon. We scheduled it early in the month as we are responsible for the preschool graduation which is May 13th. This event is always fun, but it does require coordination.

Our quarterly meeting will consist of planning for May activities and of course our luncheon. Does anyone want to coordinate the food for our meeting? The decorations, tea,and coffee are of course provided. We need help with coordinating the food and clean-up.

Ladies,

Thanks to everyone who so graciously donated baked goods for the chili cook off on Saturday. We had so many wonderful, tasty treats. It really was fantastic that we had so many folks to take their time to bake something for this function.

Hi! The Chili Cook-off is this Saturday, March 19th, and the UMW will be hosting a bake-sale table. I know we have some fantastic bakers in our church and we'd love to have you help us out. Baked items should be individually wrapped for sale and can be brought to the Fellowship Hall Friday evening or Saturday morning by 9:00. Please label them for the bake-sale and identify what they are. Comment below if you are able to donate baked goods. We had a great time last night at the First Wednesday Fellowship Meal, proceeds to help our PH Preschool. 30 pots of yummy soup, a magician, and lots of fun and fellowship. Thanks to Pam Satterfield and all the preschool teachers for your tasty desserts and help with cleanup. Check out the visitor's post from Pam for pics!
