Hello everyone, my name is Arianna; I come from Rome and moved here about two years ago.
Throughout my life, I have always believed in God and in Jesus Christ, even though I grew up in a different faith.
When I moved here, I met Sara and Anja, and—for the first time in many years—I heard someone pray. I also watched a video about Jesus, which was very similar to the stories I had studied in the Bible when I was a child.
At first, however, I didn't dwell much on these things, because I let myself get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Then, this summer, I decided to make a major change in my life. I felt a need to quit smoking and drinking, and to draw closer to the Church again.
I started visiting various churches, and every time I walked through the doors, I felt a powerful emotion. Eventually, I realized that this was the church I needed—
The place where I came to understand that emotion was the Holy Ghost speaking to me.
As I began reading the book in Italian with Sara, my faith grew stronger. All my doubts were resolved. And now, I feel an inexplicable sense of peace and joy every single day.
That is why I know this book is true.
I know that God loves me. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior. And I know that this is the right path for me.
Over this past month, I have seen many blessings all around me. I have simply come to realize many things—truths that, while living through them, we often cannot fully comprehend in the moment. I know that Jesus Christ heard the sincerity of my repentance and sensed how ready I am to have Him in my life every single day.
I have so much more I could say—including sharing my favorite scripture verses—but I’ll save that for another time!
A special thank you goes to Sara for standing by my side every day for many months now—studying with me at all hours—and to Anja and Gaia, who also helped me along the way; and to their families, for supporting me and—at times—putting up with me!
