GODS WORD IN GODS MINUTE = WEDNESDAY = 9-9-2026
“TODAY A NEW DAY” Psalm 118: 24 “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we rejoice and be glad in it. I am so thankful I was able to get up today, go forward today, a new day. We take each day for granted. Let us not waste today, a new day, God has given us.
3. Today, a new day, I recognize that God is faithful and God provides. Lamentations3:22-23 “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” God will bring judgement against sin if we do not repent. I am thankful the Lord forgives if we ask forgiveness. But even when we are not spiritually right with God, He has not forgotten us. Look at Israel’s rebellion, 40 years they wandered around in the wilderness. God provided manna from Heaven, water from a rock, and the soles of their shoes never wore out. That same God is my God, your God. Great is thy faithfulness.

No. 2 = Today, a new day, I search what I can do, along with the demands required of everyday living, how can I be productive today for what the Lord has given me. Psalm 37:23 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.” We all have to make a living, take care of our family, and keep up in taking care of our responsibilities. In all that, God needs to be first. May we follow the steps of the Lord in going, doing, and pleasing our God today, this new day.

No. 1 = Today, a new day, I thank God for who He is and what He has done. I pray this day. Psalm 5:3 “My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.” Look up and see all that God is and all He has done. This new day we should talk to God, build a stronger relationship with God. This new day, let God speak to you. Psalm119:105 “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” This new day build a relationship in prayer and God’s Word to guide you today.

“MR. WORLDLY MINDED” 2 Timothy 4:10 “For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world…..” Demas forsook Paul, because he love this present world. He is referred to as MR. WORLDLY MINDED. There is a lot of so called Christians today worldly minded. In fact, in time past, lost people were not as worldly minded as some Christians are today. Let us look:
NO. 5 = MR. WORLDLY MINDED TURNED FROM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD = Demas turned from Jesus Christ. The one who saves, the one who resurrected, so we could have eternal life. Jesus who came to seek and to save him. Who came that he might not perish, but that he might have everlasting life. The one who came to give him everlasting life. What is more important, a worldly life or a Christian life? What is more important, riches of this world or the riches in Heaven? What is more important, to store up things on earth or things in Glory Land? If you are concerned about the things of this world, then look at your heart. Are you saved? Are you backslidden? Have you turned into Mr. Worldly Minded?

“MR. WORLDLY MINDED” 2 Timothy 4:10 “For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world…..” Demas forsook Paul, because he love this present world. He is referred to as MR. WORLDLY MINDED. There is a lot of so called Christians today worldly minded. In fact, in time past, lost people were not as worldly minded as some Christians are today. Let us look:
NO. 4 = MR. WORLDLY MINDED TURNED FROM PAUL = Paul said in 2 Tim. 4:10 “For Demas hath forsaken me”. Paul had a great testimony, was ready to die in the faith. Paul, was God’s chosen vessel, anointed vessel. Yet Demas forsaken Paul for the world. Christian, don’t get discouraged. Man will let you down. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Psalm 118:8 “It is better to put your trust in the Lord than to put your confidence in man.” Pray for that Mr. Worldly Minded.

NO. 3 = MR. WORLDLY MINDED TURNED FROM GOD = God had a purpose and a plan for Demas throughout his life. David said in the book of 1 Samuel, “ is there not a cause”. There is a cause. The cause is for the Lord God Almighty. He turned from a life of God to the world, and lost the blessings of God. Stay close to God and not to the world. Don’t be Mr. Worldly Minded.

NO. 2 = MR. WORLDLY MINDED LEFT THE CHURCH = His soul, mind, will was drawn away. Verse 10 says “he loved this present world”. The world stole his heart. I have seen many Christians take jobs on Sunday, get into Sunday pleasures away from church, move away from a good church and get more involved in the world and less about God’s church. I know many have done this. Are you saved, in church, serving God? Or are you serving the world?

My Christian friend, it is nothing on this earth; money, man, woman, things, philosophy, worth forsaking God for. How are you today have you forsaken all godly things for being a worldly - minded person?
