“WANTED SOME GOOD MEN” = Proverbs 2 :20 “That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous. There are examples of good men in the Bible, although they sinned, they were good godly men. FATHERS DAY is this Sunday, June 21st 2026. We need today good godly men. As we finish this week, how much do you love the Lord. He sure loves you.
“WANTED SOME GOOD MEN” = JOHN = FOUNDATIONAL LOVE = John 21: 20 “Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved, following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?” That special love that Jesus had for John and John had for Jesus. Men, Jesus loves you so much He died for you. Women and children, He loved you so much He died for you. Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so. Yes, Jesus loves me. Jesus loves even me. Jesus loves you. The question is how much do we love Jesus?

“WANTED SOME GOOD MEN” NO. 4 = LAZARUS = Familiar in the Home. John 11:1 “Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.” John 11:5 “Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister and Lazarus.” Jesus was in this home and welcomed many times. Is Jesus welcomed in your home. How is your home in relationship to Jesus. The home should consist of the Lord, The Husband and Father, Wife and Mom, and children in that order. We need men to step up to the plate in the home, and lead the home, Gods way, the Lord’s way. Is Jesus in your Home?

Let us look at another example to follow as they followed God.
“WANTED SOME GOOD MEN” = NO. 3 = ABRAHAM = The Friend of God. James 2: 23 “And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.” Can you imagine being called the friend of God. It did not say many friends or friends. It said The Friend. To have that kind of relationship with the Lord. God may not call us The Friend, but we can call Him, The Friend. What a Friend we have in Jesus.

“WANTED SOME GOOD MEN” = Proverbs 2 :20 “That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous. There are examples of good men in the Bible, although they sinned, they were good godly men. FATHERS DAY is this Sunday, June 21st 2026. We need today good godly men to follow some godly men of old as examples from the Bible.
“WANTED SOME GOOD MEN” = NO. 2 = MOSES = Face to face with God as a Friend = Exodus 33:11 “And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend.” Moses had built a relationship with God face to face. Although, physically Moses did not see all of God face to face. Moses got to see the backside of God. When Moses came off the mountain the people were afraid of Moses because of his amazing glow. Can you imagine men getting face to face with God and having a glow. People, men, women, children, would look and say that person is so close to God. You can see Gods light shining in him. I challenge us all to build that relationship, that closeness to God.

“WANTED SOME GOOD MEN” = Proverbs 2 :20 “That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous. There are examples of good men in the Bible, although they sinned, they were good godly men. FATHERS DAY is this Sunday, June 21st 2026. We need today good godly men, let us look at some men in the Bible today for examples to go by. “WANTED SOME GOOD MEN”
NO. 1 = ENOCH = Fellowship and walked with God = Gen. 5:24 “And Enoch walked with God.” Picture in your mind for a moment walking that close to God. God says I am so pleased with you that I am going to take you to Heaven. I challenge us, especially the men this week, walk close to God. Build a stronger relationship with God. Fellowship with God. It will be a blessing.

“HOW TO COPE WITH FEAR” Psalm 55:5 “Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.” David was a man after God’s own heart, slew Goliath, the giant, yet had fear. We are human and we do have fear in our lives. We have fear in the things of life such as snakes, or fear of falling, or fear of car wreck. We have fear of uncertainty or the unknown such as a doctor’s report or health test done and health problems. How is it going to turn out? Many fear death, because of the unknown and uncertainty. If you are unsaved, yes you fear death because Hell awaits. For a Christian in death Heaven awaits. If not saved be saved today. May these truths help Christians when coping with fear.
No. 5 = Life into death into eternity. = Psalm 23:1 “The Lord is my shepherd: I shall not want.” The Great Shepherd is with me all my life. Psalm 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.” The Lord is with me when death comes. Psalm 23:6 “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” During the fears that come in life, God is there. In death, God is there. God will be there throughout eternity. May God help us as human beings to cope with fear when it comes. THIS IS GODS WORD IN GODS MINUTE!

No. 4 = Know God is in the midst = Psalm 46:5 “God is in the midst.” Bible says we will have fear. The mountains may fall. The sea may rage. But all in all, God is in the midst. Remember every storm, trial and fear, nothing can happen unless God allows it. God is in the midst of it all. Sometimes it is hard, we need to trust God. THIS IS GODS WORD IN GODS MINUTE!

No. 3 = Draw support, refuge and strength from God. Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We tend to, in many things, try to handle things ourselves. When we fear we need God to draw from, for support, for strength. I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me. I cannot do it alone. But I am not alone. It is not just me. But it is God and me. THIS IS GODS WORD IN GODS MINUTE!

No. 2 = Turn to God for help= Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” God is there to help us. When fear comes, pray. Pray and pray. Plead the blood of Jesus Christ upon you. Satan hates the blood. Ask God to help you cope with that fear at that time. God will help you. THIS IS GODS WORD IN GODS MINUTE!
