Friends, we ask for your prayers for our granddaughter, Teagan, who is hospitalized at Children’s Mercy with RSV. Teagan is 4 1/2 months old, is on forced air and receiving deep suction treatments hourly to help clear her lungs to allow her to breath. We love you and value your intercession.

Due to the concern about ice that came before the snow and the re-freezing issues, we will NOT gather tomorrow for our weekly worship. We are grateful that this is the first time for this winter season, but we will miss our time together.

Please consider a few other options for worship tomorrow:

* If the roads in your area are safe, you may want to worship with a church near your home and rejoice in the Lord's work in other congregations.
* Watch one of our past worship services that have been saved on video; perhaps you missed a week or were out of town for Christmas - now you can catch up!
* Read a Psalm and pray through it own your own or as a family.

Lord willing, we will gather next week to consider the 5 commands of 1 Corinthians 16:13-14.

Because of the impending winter storm, we are moving our worship gathering from Sunday morning to Saturday evening at 5 p.m. (March 2nd). Since the storm is forecast to come in overnight, we would very likely miss yet another Sunday worship. But with Saturday's weather looking clear, we thought we could extend to you the unique invitation to meet from 5:00-6:15pm for a Pre-Winter Weather Saturday Night Worship Service!

• We realize some families may have prior engagements; please know that we understand if you are unable to attend.
• There will be no Sunday school classes.
• The nursery will be open, but workers will be on a volunteer basis. Parents may need to provide some oversight if you need to utilize the nursery.
• We will sing and study the Word together, but we will also offer an opportunity for you to share either a brief testimony that praises God for what he is doing in your life or a Bible passage that has been occupying your thoughts lately.

Please pass the word along to those who may not be on Facebook or notice this announcement in time.

Friends, based on the condition of the parking lots and the threat of dangerous driving conditions in the morning, we are going to call off the service for tomorrow morning. Please be safe and close to home. We look forward to being with you again soon.

The roads are treacherous and worsening. We are calling off tomorrow morning's service. Please pass along the word to anyone you know that doesn't Facebook regularly. Worship the King in your homes tomorrow. We'll look forward to being back with you again, hopefully in a week.

Friends, please keep an eye on this page today as we evaluate and consider whether to cancel tomorrow morning's service. The weather forecast calls for snow continuing into this afternoon and then melting and refreezing overnight, which is our main concern. We will announce a final decision later today. Regardless, please all be safe. Worship Christ wherever you are and whomever you're with tomorrow.

WEATHER ALERT! In consideration of the weather forecast for blizzard conditions and poor visibility tomorrow morning and into the afternoon, the service for November 25th is cancelled. Please stay home, safe and warm. We will look forward to being back together for worship on December 2nd.

Dennis and Laura are unloading his parents' things all day today. There's quite a bit more than they anticipated so they really could use some help. If you are available anytime during the day or the evening, please contact Dennis or Laura for where to meet. Thank you, family!

All - In preparation for our meeting at Bly Road this Sunday, we are seeking volunteers for tomorrow night to help load a dumpster with a large pile of scrap wood. No need to respond to this call for help. If you can assist, please meet as close to 5:30 tomorrow night as you can. We hope to be done in an hour or two.

Also, on Thursday evening, we need volunteers to move Pastor Adam's office from its current location at 4963-C NE Goodview Circle, Lee’s Summit, MO 64064 to the Bly Road location. This will save the church $690 per month in rent for his office but will be something of a sacrifice by our pastor both in creature comforts and commute. Thank you Pastor Adam (and Kari) for your willingness to give up your very nice, close to home office to save the church's funds!

If you are able to assist on Thursday, please DO let us know so that we don't have too many hands for the work.

Thank you all for your willingness to take on these tasks as they arise.
