In this episode, we continue our series "God Is Up To Something!" by diving into the transition from the earthly ministry of Jesus to the birth of the early church. We explore why Jesus told His disciples it was actually to their advantage that He leave so that the Holy Spirit could come.

What We Cover:
The Promise of Power: Understanding Acts 1:8 and how the Holy Spirit empowers believers to be witnesses from their local neighborhoods to the ends of the earth.

The Spirit’s Identity: How the Holy Spirit is God in Spirit form, fulfilling Jesus' promise to be with us always.
Practical Help: A look at the five ways the Spirit assists us today: in prayer, as a guide, in witnessing, as a comfort, and as the sustainer of life.
The Spirit’s Work in the World: Exploring the "legal" work of the Spirit in convicting the world regarding sin, righteousness, and judgment.

The same power that launched the early church is available to you today. Join us as we learn how to walk in the leading of the Holy Spirit and fulfill our unique calling in this generation.

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command." John 15:12-14 This is Memorial Day weekend. We usually finish school and celebrate the start of summer. Did you know we also remember the service members or the armed forces that lost their lives serving our country on Monday? Today is Sunday, and we also remember someone who sacrificed his life for our sins. Yes, Jesus! He left God in heaven to come to Earth because he loves us. He then commanded us to love others. Our sacrifice is to put others before ourselves, to serve God before our own wants, to follow Jesus instead of our own desires. Love God & love others. Remember that every day, not just on Monday.

Today, we celebrate our mothers. We even have Father's Day in June. A child in KIDZ Street asked, 'When is Kids Day?' 'Every other day!' someone answered:) Well, we are all called children of God. All of us belong to His family. God chose mothers to bring us into His world & raise us. Wise mothers who teach us about God are special to Him. Proverbs 31 tells about Godly mothers, '...she gives instructions with kindness,' is one description. My mom was kind to me even when I wasn't very kind to her. Jesus loves us even when we aren't very lovable. We can tell our moms Happy Mother's Day, but verse 28 reminds us, 'Her children stand & bless her.' How can we bless our moms? Not just today, or not just saying we love them. Think of ways we can show them. And as Christians, do we just say we believe in God, or just tell others we love Jesus? No, we show others we follow Him by how we treat each other. Being kind, generous, patient & loving is the best Mother's Day present ever!
