The Historic St Paul AME Church Independence

The Historic St Paul AME Church Independence Historic Saint Paul A.M.E. Church has been part of the Independence community for 159 years and counting.

Historic Saint Paul is a fellowship of believers seeking to connect people with God so they can be useful to God in every way that they can to as many as they can. We seek to connect people with God in a way that helps them reach their full potential in God, family and community. We are committed to doing more than talking about holiness. Instead, we seek to be useful to God in every way that we can to as many people as we can for as long as we can.

Today we had church! 🙌🏾

On this Trinity Sunday, we give thanks to God our Creator, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit for meeting us in worship and reminding us that faith was never meant to be lived in isolation.

Sermon Recap
📖 Title: You Can’t Do It Alone

🔹 Stop Trying to Walk Alone
God never intended for us to carry life’s burdens by ourselves. There is strength in fellowship and support.

🔹 God Built Us for Relationship
From the very beginning, God created us for community with God and with one another. We are better together.

🔹 Everybody Needs Somebody
No matter how strong, gifted, or independent we may be, all of us need someone to pray with us, encourage us, and walk beside us.

Today we were reminded that isolation is not God’s design, but community is. When we lean on God and on one another, we discover that we don’t have to face life’s journey alone.

“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9

Thankful for another blessed day in the Lord’s house. ❤️

 THE AFTERWORD WITH PASTOR FLETCH
Episode 1: Power for What's Next

What happens after the sermon is over?

Join us tonight for the inaugural episode of The AfterWord—a new weekly virtual discipleship and engagement experience from Historic Saint Paul AME Church.

This week, we'll revisit and unpack Sunday's Pentecost message, "Power for What's Next" (Acts 2:1–4), exploring what it means to live with the power God provides for every season ahead.

This isn't another sermon.

It's a conversation.

Together, we'll reflect on:
 Why positioning precedes power
 How God's presence changes environments
How the Holy Spirit transforms ordinary people for extraordinary assignments
What God may be preparing you for in your next season

Most importantly, we want to hear from YOU.

Share your thoughts, ask questions, offer insights, and engage with others as we continue the conversation beyond Sunday morning.

Because the benediction may end worship...
but it doesn't have to end the conversation.

 Scripture: Acts 2:1–4
 Host: Rev. Everett L. Fletcher

Welcome to The AfterWord.

Where Sunday's message becomes everyday transformation.

What happens after the sermon is over?

What happens after the music fades?

What happens after the benediction?

For many people...
the conversation ends.

But what if that's exactly when the conversation should begin?

Join us tonight for our LAUNCH of "The AfterWord"
(apart of HSP's Virtual Engagement and Evangelism Ministry: Between Sundays)

This season is filled with excitement, anticipation, and A a the beautiful reminder that every child is a gift from God. On May 23rd, the HSP church family were grateful to have shared in the celebration during their baby shower and look forward to witnessing the many blessings that God has in store for their growing family.

As a church family, we want Michael, Allanesha, and their baby to know that they are surrounded by love, encouragement, and prayer. We pray for a healthy pregnancy, a safe delivery, wisdom for the journey ahead, and God’s abundant favor upon their home.

Please join us in celebrating this special occasion by leaving your prayers, words of encouragement, and blessings for the Narcisse family in the comments below.
