Proverbs 10:2

Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

Verse 16 says… The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.

Verse 23 says it’s sport for a fool to do mischief. For fun.

Nothing fun or lasting about sin, costs too much… not worth it. Just isn’t, no profit… no fruit, nothing lasting about it.

A good reminder today in Proverbs 10 the value of walking upright versus being a fool… the fear of the Lord prolongs our days, but the years of the wicked… shortened.

Reading Proverbs 5 this morning, really hit I felt on the strange woman, made me think of today’s internet, the ease of filth and smut… the dangers of it and what it will do to us.

Proverbs 5:11 - And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed.

Proverbs 5:8 - Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house.

That door to sin, the internet, is easier than it’s ever been. Her end is bitter and sharp as a two-edged sword it says. Verse one starts off asking us to bow our ear to understanding… and for us to regard discretion. Lord help us!

Only by pride cometh contention; but with the well advised is wisdom.” Proverbs 13:10

Read this verse this morning ☕️ , made me think about my pride, being easily offended… but then it says with the well advised there is wisdom.

In verse 13:3 it talks about the mouth, keeping that thing under control. Pride leads to destruction, and doing things my way instead of the Lords way. Poverty and shame it says in 13:18 comes to one who refuses instruction, but honor comes to those who regard reproof. Lord help us today, we sure need Him often.

God offers the shelter, but are we listening?

Living life on empty, doesn't work.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." 2 Timothy 3:16-17

“Flee temptation, don’t try to debate it”

Galatians 5:16 - This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

The Lord is so good to us, and we need him every day. Our Pastor has been preaching on prayer, and how vital that is… in everything we do, because Jesus cares about everything we do.

I’m guilty, I’ll raise my hand, I don’t always let God know what’s going on. Lord, help us go to you in prayer, to let the Lord guide us and direct us. We hope you have a great and blessed day! 🙏🏻=💪🏻

Sin and the choices we make. While addiction may not be explicitly mentioned in the Bible, the principles found within God's Word shed light on the struggles we face and provide guidance for living a life pleasing to Him. Let's explore some verses from the King James Bible that offer wisdom and encouragement:

1️⃣ Romans 3:23:
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

This verse reminds us that we are all sinners, falling short of God's perfect standard. We must acknowledge that our choices and actions have consequences and can lead us astray from God's plan.

2️⃣ Galatians 5:19-21:
"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."

This passage reminds us that sinful behaviors and choices, such as those mentioned here, can prevent us from inheriting God's eternal kingdom. It urges us to turn away from these destructive patterns and seek righteousness instead.

3️⃣ James 4:7-8a:
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you."

These verses offer hope and guidance. We are called to submit ourselves to God, resist the temptations of the enemy, and draw closer to Him. Through this, we can find the strength to overcome sin and make Godly choices.

4️⃣ Proverbs 3:5-6:
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."

Here, we are reminded to trust in the Lord completely, rather than relying on our own understanding. By acknowledging God in all our ways and seeking His guidance, He promises to direct our paths, leading us away from sin and towards righteousness.

Let us remember that we are all prone to sin, but God's grace and mercy are always available to us. Through faith, repentance, and a commitment to making godly choices, we can experience transformation and walk in His righteousness.

May we strive daily to align our choices with God's will and seek His strength to overcome our sinful tendencies. Remember, you are not alone in your struggles, this ministry is here for you.
