I’m an older millennial and I’ve noticed a ton of Gen Z returning or finding religion, which is great! At what moment was your turning point? If any?

Once a week my husband and I do bible study outside of regular service with our pastor. We look forward to it every Tuesday. We Have become great friends with our pastor, it’s a great joy to go. with all the noise outside of the church we often get lost in our lives and my husband and I find this a good way to keep focused in Christ.

I'm a very busy doggo at home, so I forget about my socials a ton. Which I guess is not a bad thing. I thank God for my busy hands. What projects are you all occupying yourselves with? Mine, is knitting, working on that blanket that never ends.

What is everyone’s feelings on the statement: Relationship not religion?

My opinion on the matter is that the term “religion“ was given a negative context in culture, but I do not think there is anything wrong with using that word.

The terminology I have used is “committed religious relationship” when it comes to my walk with Christ. I’m curious about how others feel about this common statement.

WELS maintains a strict stance on "prayer fellowship," generally restricting joint public prayer with church bodies outside their fellowship to maintain scriptural integrity.

Private Exceptions: While public, joint prayer with those of different confessions is avoided, private, personal, or family prayer settings often allow for more discretion and are not considered the same as formal public fellowship.

So my abstaining of prayers for others is never personal but part of my integrity. I do pray people return home with Christ but personal and public joint prayer is not for me or my husband.
