The weather is warming up and the days are getting longer again. It’s time to get outside and enjoy Creation! Here are five benefits of Connecting with Creation:
1. The world is full of resources! God gave us everything we need through his amazing and abundant creation. Observing how even the birds of the air and creatures of the earth are cared for reminds us of how God provides for us and centers us in a place of gratitude.
2. Embracing the beauty and majesty of creation helps us appreciate God’s expansiveness and creativity and even helps us tap into our own creative energies!
3. Getting outside allows us to enter a restorative space that helps us relax and reduce mental fatigue. Time spent outdoors is known to reduce stress, lessen depression, and calm anxiety. (…not to mention a healthy timeout from technology!)
4. Increased Vitamin D, improved heart function and circulation, stronger breathing, improved muscle health, mobility, and flexibility… there are too many health benefits to name when you get outside and play in God’s creation!
5. Creation also includes each other! Be encouraged to get outside and connect with your neighbors and your community! We are better, stronger, and more resilient together.
Looking for a way to connect with creation - both in community and the outdoors? Join us for one of our upcoming Volunteer Nights at the Victory Garden at the Gospel Tabernacle Church in Aliquippa, Pa! We'll be there every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 5pm-7pm.
