Make plans to join us and bring the whole family!

We will have our two lane water slip-n-slide inflatable, a hungry hungry hippos inflatable, bounce house and a smaller water inflatable for littles.

Not to mention a great meal and a time of celebrating Christ together!

This last Sunday's "Note from the pastor..."
The love of a Father

“As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;” (Psalm 103:13)

Sometimes we don’t think of our earthly fathers as “loving” but I believe there is nothing more supporting and encouraging to a child than the love and compassion of a father.

I love what one author said about a fathers love, “Like a shepherd, a father cares for his flock – feeding, protecting, leading, being available and having a watchful eye.” Dads are the “shepherds” of the family.

They are to provide an opportunity to their children to receive the same grace that we receive from our heavenly Father.

The passage in Psalm 103 is dealing with the forgiveness and mercy God shows us when he remembers our “frame” or “form”, which was from dust. In the same way a dad remembers his children as fragile and valuable, so he shows them mercy rather than wrath.

Maybe you didn’t have a dad that showed much compassion or grace. Remember that your Heavenly Father is perfect and holy. He will always share the grace and love we need.

Join us June 27th for our annual archery event from 11 to 4 pm.

We will be raffling off a brand new adult and youth bow (grows with them). There will be other give-a-ways and prizes.

Just $10 covers the event and lunch.
Kids 12 and under are free!

If you are not into archery, that's fine, come on out for a great lunch and time in God's word.

Yesterday's "Note from the pastor..."
To be in awe…

“Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.” (Hebrews 12:28-29)

We often say that we are “in awe of God.” I wonder what we mean by that? Are we in awe of him like we are a sunset or a sunrise? The word “awe” means “an overwhelming feeling of reverence, admiration, fear, produced by that which is grand, sublime, extremely powerful, or the like.” In the book of Proverbs it says the “fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.” (1:7)

The “fear of the Lord” is the awe that we sense when we realize God is truly powerful and grand! That realization should drive us to a humility and worship before such a mighty God. Let’s worship him for the God that he is, not the god that we tend to make him. He is worthy of all praise, all sacrifice, all attention.

Exalt the name of Christ! Spend time everyday just being still before him and ponder his greatness!

Yesterday's "Note from the pastor..."
He Knows…

“…For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask him.” (Matthew 6:8)

When we bow our heads in prayer, we may be tempted to wonder if God is really listening. Can God really handle this or that situation in my life? These type of thoughts are common for all believers at one point or another in our lives. The powerful and blessed truth is, yes he is listening and yes he can handle it!

God knows more than we do what we need. When we pray, we must pray with a sincere heart. We can go before God honestly and share our hearts without fear of how or what to say. He already knows! So, why do we pray? Because we are displaying our faith in Christ, that we are trusting him in that situation. Let’s cry out to God freely and openly!

He knows what you need and when you need it!

A Depth of Riches

Every day of our lives, we are faced with choices to make. Choices of where to go and what to do. Some of these choices may seem insignificant in the moment, but it is vital to our walk with God that we make all these choices with the will of God in mind.

Romans 11:33 says, “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!” On the flip side, James refers to the wisdom of man and says that it does not come from above, but it is earthly, sensual, and devilish.(James 3:15) Even Jesus Himself sought the will of the Father: “I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.” (John 5:30)

But how can we access this depth of riches that is the wisdom of the Father? By regularly spending time with Him in prayer and in His Word. Romans 12:2 says that as we conform to Him as opposed to the world, we will be transformed by the renewal of our mind and will be able to test and discern that which is the will of God.
