Distracted but Not Defeated

Have you been struggling lately?
Getting distracted?
Juggling work, home, family, responsibilities—and the constant negativity of the world?

Maybe you've been spending less time in the Word. Maybe you've found yourself choosing the distractions of life over the presence of God. Maybe you're disappointed in yourself because you've fallen short—again.

But here's the good news: God's grace is greater than our failures.

We all fall short. We all make mistakes. We all have moments when our flesh wins the battle.

But your past failures do not define your future.

God's grace doesn't give us permission to stay where we are—it gives us the strength to get back up.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

Let's refocus.
Let's get back in the Word.
Let's encourage one another.
Let's carry each other's burdens.
Let's get back up together.

Because we may be distracted, but we are not defeated.

Join us as we talk about God's grace, getting back up, and finding our way back to Him.

Have you ever felt like you've drifted from God?

Maybe it wasn't a dramatic rebellion. Maybe it happened one small compromise at a time.

Most people think the story of the Prodigal Son is about a son who ran away.

It's not.

It's about a Father who never stopped watching, never stopped loving, and never stopped waiting.

In this episode of Blessed Winds Bible Messages, we'll talk about pride, spiritual drifting, backsliding, God's relentless grace, and why it's never too late to come home.

đź“– Scriptures include:
• Luke 15:11–32
• Proverbs 3:5–6
• Hebrews 10:25
• 1 John 2:15
• Romans 5:8
…and more.

🎙️ NEW PODCAST EPISODE: WHACK-A-MOLE WITH THE DEVIL!

How often does the enemy pop up with fear, doubt, distraction, comparison, and discouragement?

Just when you think you've got one battle under control—BAM! Another one pops up!

But here's the question: Are we spending so much time fighting the enemy that we're forgetting to use what God has already placed in our hands?

In the Parable of the Talents, Jesus reminds us that God expects us to be faithful with what we've been given. Our time. Our faith. Our abilities. Our opportunities. Our influence.

The devil wants you to bury it.

God wants you to put it to work.

📖 "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." — Romans 10:17

Join us as we look at Ephesians 1:17, Matthew 25:14–30, Romans 10:17, and Romans 12:3 and ask one important question:

What are YOU doing with what God has given you?

🎧 Listen, share, and help someone else discover that they don't have to let the enemy keep popping up and stealing their purpose.

Don't bury your talent. Don't waste your time. Don't surrender your faith.

Put it to work for God!

🎙️ NEW PODCAST: It’s Okay Not to Be Okay

As Christians, many of us have been taught—intentionally or not—that admitting we’re struggling somehow means we have weak faith. So we smile, say “I’m fine,” and carry burdens that God never intended us to carry alone.

But the Bible tells a different story.

David poured out his fears in the Psalms. Elijah wanted to give up. Job questioned God. Jeremiah cursed the day he was born. Moses doubted himself. Paul admitted his fears. Even Jesus, in the Garden of Gethsemane, was overwhelmed with sorrow.

Faith isn’t pretending everything is okay.

Faith is bringing your pain, questions, fears, and tears to the One who can carry them.

In this episode, we’ll discuss:
• Why it’s okay to admit you’re struggling.
• The difference between complaining and crying out to God.
• How fellow believers are called to encourage and strengthen one another.
• Why asking for help is a sign of wisdom—not weakness.
• The authority we have in Christ to stand against the enemy.

Remember this:
📖 Jesus corrected His disciples when their faith was weak — Matthew 8:26

📖 David cried out to God in fear — Psalm 56:1-3

📖 David admitted his loneliness and anguish — Psalm 25:16-19

📖 David battled discouragement but chose hope — Psalm 42:5

📖 David confessed his sin with honesty — Psalm 51:3-6

📖 Elijah became so discouraged he wanted to die — 1 Kings 19:3-4

📖 Jesus was overwhelmed with sorrow in Gethsemane — Matthew 26:37-38

📖 God created us to lift each other up — Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

📖 Encourage one another — 1 Thessalonians 5:11

📖 Iron sharpens iron — Proverbs 27:17

📖 Don’t neglect meeting together — Hebrews 10:24-25

📖 Cry out to God when your heart is faint — Psalm 61:1-3

📖 The Lord hears the cries of the righteous — Psalm 34:17

📖 It’s okay to ask God “Why?” — Habakkuk 1:2-3

📖 Even Jesus cried, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” — Matthew 27:46 (quoting Psalm 22:1)

📖 Cast all your anxiety on Him — 1 Peter 5:7

📖 Christ gives us strength — Philippians 4:13

📖 Resist the devil, and he will flee — James 4:7

“It’s okay to admit you’re struggling; it’s not okay to struggle alone.”

Don’t tell God how big your problem is—tell your problem how big your God is.

🎧 Listen now, and if someone you know is carrying a heavy burden, please share this episode with them. You never know who needs to hear that they don’t have to face life’s battles alone.

🎙️ NEW EPISODE: Selah - The Power of the Pause

The pause is not empty—it is occupied by the presence of God. Discover how Selah becomes the space between panic and praise.

What if the answer you’re looking for isn’t found in doing more—but in stopping long enough to hear from God?

The Bible contains the word “Selah” 74 times. It is an invitation to pause, reflect, remember, and enter God’s presence.

When David faced betrayal, fear, and overwhelming circumstances, he didn’t always have immediate answers. But he learned the power of pausing before God.

In this episode we discuss:

âś… Remembering who God is
✅ Hearing God’s voice in the stillness
✅ Remembering God’s faithfulness
✅ Trusting God’s promises
âś… Surrendering what we cannot control

Key Scriptures:
đź“– Psalm 3:2-3
đź“– Psalm 54:3-5
đź“– Psalm 46:10
đź“– Psalm 77:10-15
đź“– Psalm 62:1-8
đź“– Psalm 55:22
đź“– Jeremiah 32:27
đź“– 1 Samuel 30:6
đź“– Philippians 4:6-8

SELAH.

Because sometimes the greatest act of faith is standing still long enough to hear God say, “I am still here.”

How many times has God’s alarm clock gone off… and we hit snooze?

Procrastination is more than unfinished projects and delayed plans. Sometimes it becomes delayed obedience.

We put off:
• Talking to someone about God
• Acts of kindness
• Using the gifts God gave us
• The calling He placed on our lives

The enemy loves delay and distraction because:
• Urgency fades
• Fear grows
• Opportunities are missed

“Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.” — Ecclesiastes 11:4

In this episode we discuss:
âś” Procrastination vs prioritization
âś” Fear, perfectionism, and distraction
âś” Godly wisdom vs worldly wisdom
âś” Why delayed obedience is dangerous
âś” Being spiritually ready in the last days

Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Jesus may come at any time.

What has God asked you to do today that you keep pushing off until tomorrow?
