One Body. Many Parts. One Mission.

Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 12:12 that the church is one body made up of many different parts. Every person matters. Every person has something to offer. And every person has a part to play in the mission God has given us.

Making disciples of Jesus isn’t something a few people do while everyone else watches. We each have gifts, abilities, experiences, and opportunities that God can use to build up His Church and share the good news of Jesus.

Whether you’re teaching, serving, welcoming, praying, or encouraging others, your faithfulness matters. You have a part to play.

We would love for you to partner in our different ministries. Talk to us this Sunday and find your place in the body!

General Conference of the Global Methodist Church has been happening this week. Today, Lyndol Lloyd has been elected to serve as Bishop for Area 4, which our West Plains Conference resides in. Lyndol has been serving as the pastor at LakeRidge Methodist Church in Lubbock. We are blessed to have him as our Bishop.

Please be in prayer for Lyndol and his family and for the Global Methodist Church.

🐾 Happy National Dog Day!

If you’ve been around Idalou Methodist for any length of time, there’s a good chance you’ve met Walter.

Walter belongs to one of our church members, but somewhere along the way, he became the town dog. He especially loves his role as our unofficial church greeter.

We’re thankful for Walter and the joy he brings to our church family and our community!
