I was walking through my rose garden this morning and thought about our lives as believers...the gardener has to put alot of work in the soil so the rose plant can flourish feed and shine..then the bugs come and can eat and destroy the leaves and rose bud..without the gardener to come and shield the rose or treat or prune it the bugs will destroy it.

Who is this like? Oh yes Jesus- he is the master gardener in our lives..he put his spirit in us so we can flourish, and feed on his word, and let our light shine like him.

The bugs are the strongholds or the demonic who come to eat away at our joy(the leaves) our hearts (the rose) and ultimately destroy us.

But the gardener.. Jesus. He comes and prunes our wilted hearts and snip off the destroyed joy..we drink up the living water he gives us and fertilizer is with his word and his light shines on his and we look as beautiful if not more than this mere rose I tend to.

The world is making lots of noise and exposures are everywhere.
Stay close to the gardener of your lives and hearts..Jesus. He is the only one who can shield us from all the weeds in life.

The Power of Prayer

I read a short excerpt on this topic this morning and I began to think about my prayers and my prayer life.
I struggle in praying many times..how to pray what to say that will move God, how not to pray, the list goes on and on.

I have learned there are short prayers, anxious prayers, fear prayers, and those Battle Rattle prayers. Than there's those heartfelt sit down with coffee and speak with your best friend father type.

No matter which type you do....I have learned that in our private fellowship with the Father that time spent with him, is the secret to all effective prayers that will shake heaven and earth by his hand.

When the sadduccees and pharisees prayed aloud in the streets..they received their own reward. But Did it really give them any influence?

Prayer that produces a powerful influence must be the product of much time with our Father. The Lord says do not be like the pharasees and saduccees. We must be imitators of him in our character. Be the people who spend so much time with Him as to make it notable in your life that you affect the world around you.
