Truly committed Christians are in conflict with the society around them more than any other person. Society is going one direction, and the Christian is going in the opposite direction. That brings about friction and conflict. But God has promised, in the midst of trouble and conflict, a genuine peace, a sense of assurance and security, that the worldly person will never know or understand.

Ten God-given and time-tested truths for navigating life

1. Love God more than you fear hell
2. Make major decisions in a cemetery
3. When no one is watching, live as if they are
4. Succeed at home first
5. Don't spend today worrying about tomorrow.
6. Pray twice as much as you fret
7. God has forgiven you, you'd be wise to do the same
8. Treat everyone the way you want to be treated
9. Follow the golden rule
10. Keep your eyes on Jesus.

If the world loves us because we have compromised the truth, something is wrong. But if the world hates us because we faithfully represent Christ, we are simply sharing in what He Himself experienced.

The closer you get to God the bigger He becomes in your life. So, if He seems small, move closer

Going to church doesn’t save you. Jesus does. So, why go?

I go to church because I need it. I need the fellowship. I need the encouragement. I need the conviction. I need the reminder of who I am and whose I am.

Because I know sometime, sooner rather than later—I’m going to fail. I’m going to lose my patience. I may say something I shouldn’t say. I’ll fall short of the standard God has called me to.

I’m not perfect. Never have been. Never will be.

That’s why I go.

Church isn’t a place where perfect people gather. It’s a place where broken people come to worship a perfect Savior. It’s where we encourage one another, bear each other’s burdens, and grow together in our faith.

The people inside that building have been redeemed by the grace of God.

I don’t go to church because I think it earns me a place in heaven. I go because I need a reset. I need to be reminded that I’m a sinner saved by the grace of God. I need to worship, to learn, and to be challenged to become more like Christ.

Hebrews 10:25 reminds us not to forsake assembling together. God knew we would need each other.

So I’ll keep showing up—because I need to.

The devil tries to discourage you with your past and reminding you of your sin. When he does that, remind him about Jesus and His death on the cross.

Life has far more than its share of disappointments. More for some than others. But consider this: disappointment can be God’s appointment to step in. People will let you down. You’ll let people down too. But Jesus never lets us down. He’s always there for you.

God is so much bigger than your doubts, your difficulties, your past, your pain, your shame, your shortcomings, your fears, your failures, and even your mistakes. God has you every moment of every day! Trust Him!

The answer to America’s problems isn’t political; it’s spiritual.

In 2 Chronicles 7:14, the Lord said, “Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land”.

Sanctification (the process of being made holy and set apart) is a lifelong process. No arrives overnight. Scripture calls us to test everything and examine the fruit, but it also calls us to extend grace toward those who are genuinely trying to walk with Christ.

Every believer IS BEING conformed into the image of Jesus. Some transform quicker than others. So, be patient with each other, encourage each other, forgive each other, and help each other.

As Paul said in Philippians 1:6,
"And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."
