14 Days of Prayer for Fr. Michael Morris

Our beloved Pastor and Council Chaplain, Fr. Michel Morris, has been diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer. As a parish family, we are joining together for 14 days of prayer through the intercession of Blessed Michael McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus. Each Day, we will post a special message inspired by our Founder and offering our love and prayers for Father Morris.

Starting Monday, June 15th, please pray each day:

One Our Father
One Hail Mary
One Glory Be

And conclude with a prayer for the intercession of Blessed Michael McGivney:

God, our Father, protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, you called your priest, Blessed Michael McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian family life and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor. Through the example of his life and virtue, may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely, fulfilling His commandment of charity and building up His Body, which is the Church.

Let the inspiration of Your servant prompt us to greater confidence in Your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the needy and the outcast. We humbly ask that You glorify Blessed Michael McGivney on earth according to the design of Your holy will.

Through his intercession, grant the favor we now present: the healing, comfort, and strength of Fr. Michael Morris as he battles pancreatic cancer. According to Your will, grant him a miraculous recovery and many more years of priestly service.

Through Christ our Lord. Amen
