Harsiddhi Shakti Temple

Harsiddhi Shakti Temple Hindu Temple dedicated to Harsiddhi Maa. The congregation is primarily Guyanese, Trinidadian, and others.

This Mandir holds abhishekam 7am to 10am and pujas 9:30am to 11:30am on Sundays and quarterly hindu religious holidays puja services. Our temple stresses the importance of performing traditional worship to God and performs North and South indian style of worship. We hold satsang during the pujas by singing aarti songs after each deity’s puja. Then after the puja commences, we allow satsang and katha.

🌸 Navratri Day 1 – Maa Shailputri 🌸

Navratri begins with the worship of Maa Shailputri, the daughter of the Himalayas.
She is the first form of the goddess and is seen riding Nandi, holding a trident in one hand and a lotus in the other.

“Shail” means mountain, and “Putri” means daughter — she represents strength, patience, and purity.

Worship on this day is believed to bring peace, stability, and spiritual growth.

The color of the day is red, symbolizing action and energy.

Maa Shailputri reminds us to stay grounded, draw courage from within, and move forward with resolve.

🙏 May her blessings mark the beginning of nine nights of devotion, strength, and grace.
