Who is Jesus — really? Not the version culture has shaped, politics have claimed, or comfort has demanded. The Jesus of Scripture. This week we kicked off our new series, Devoted, diving into the essential truths every Christian needs to know.

From Colossians 1:15-20, we were reminded that Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the creator and sustainer of all things, the head of the church, and the victor over death. As 1 Timothy 2:5 declares, there is one God and one mediator between God and men — Christ alone.

The temptation in every generation is to add something to Jesus. Jesus plus politics. Jesus plus success. Jesus plus anything else we think will satisfy. But the moment we add something to Christ, we stop making Christ preeminent. He does not compete for first place. He is either first or he is not.

Do not let your faith just "may contain Christ." He is worthy of all of it.

Who is Jesus... really?

Not who culture says He is.
Not who we've imagined Him to be.
Not who we want Him to be.

Who does Scripture reveal Him to be?

This Sunday we launch DEVOTED with Week 1: Christ Alone.

Everyone has an opinion about Jesus.

But who is He…really?

This Sunday we launch DEVOTED by opening Colossians 1:15-20, a passage that leaves no room for a small view of Christ.

Join us as Pastor Kyle begins Week 1: Christ Alone.

Christianity has never lacked opinions.

It has always needed people who know what they believe and why.

DEVOTED begins August 2.

Jonah didn’t struggle because God wasn’t working.

He struggled because God showed mercy to the people Jonah wanted judged.

Sometimes the greatest obstacle to revival isn’t God’s willingness to save. It’s our willingness to celebrate His grace when it reaches people we never expected.

The book of Jonah is far more than a story about a fish. It’s a mirror.

Dock Team Member of the Week

Every Sunday, people faithfully serve behind the scenes to help others experience Jesus. This week, we’re recognizing Skylar DiLillo.

Whether she’s welcoming people, serving wherever she’s needed, or simply encouraging those around her, Skylar reflects the heart of what it means to be part of the Dock Team.

Thank you for investing your time, your gifts, and your heart into Anchor City. We’re better because you’re on the team.

Take a moment to leave Skylar an encouraging comment.

Juneteenth reminds us of a simple but powerful truth: freedom is worth celebrating.

Today we remember the day the news of freedom finally reached enslaved people in Texas. We celebrate that freedom came, while also remembering that it came later than it should have.

As followers of Jesus, days like today remind us why every person matters.

“So God created man in His own image; He created him in the image of God; He created them male and female.” (Genesis 1:27)

Every person bears the image of God. Every person has value. Every person has dignity.

And while we give thanks for the freedoms we enjoy in this country, we’re reminded of an even greater freedom:

“So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.” (John 8:36)

Today, we remember. We give thanks. And we celebrate the God who created us in His image and offers true freedom through His Son.

It’s supposed to storm tomorrow.

Rain. Wind. The whole thing.

And tomorrow, Pastor Kyle is teaching on the passage where Jesus says:

“The rain fell… the floods came… the winds blew…”

Not making that up.

Feels like a coincidence…

but also not.

Whether you’re single, married, or somewhere in between—this one’s for you.

And hey… don’t let a little rain keep you from something God might be setting up.
