Join us live at Fervent Church as we continue our verse-by-verse study through Acts with a message titled “Don’t Stand in the Way” from Acts 11:1–18.

After Peter shares the gospel with the Gentiles, he is criticized for going into their homes and eating with them. But Peter’s response points to a powerful truth: if God wants to reach them, who are we to stand in the way?

The gospel isn’t just for people who look like us, think like us, or have it all together. Jesus came for the unlikely, the overlooked, and the people we may have already written off.

Even them. Even you.

Six years ago, we didn’t have all the answers.

We didn’t know exactly where we would live, where we would meet, how we would fund it, or what the future would look like.

We just knew God was sending us.

So before Fervent Church had anything, a Sunday service, or even people to call our church family—we prayed.

We prayed for a church that didn’t exist yet.
We prayed for people we hadn’t met yet.
We prayed for a city we hadn’t moved to yet.

And six years later, we can look back and see God’s faithfulness in every part of the story.

But we’re still praying the same prayer:
So that people may know Jesus.

This story isn’t finished. ❤️‍🔥

Join us Sunday, September 20 as we celebrate 6 years of God’s faithfulness—and look ahead to what He has next.

God Shows No Partiality 🙌 | Acts 10:34
Peter had spent his whole life seeing a line between “us” and “them.” But in Acts 10, God completely changes his perspective.
“Truly I understand that God shows no partiality.” — Acts 10:34
The people Peter once thought were outside of God’s plan were the very people God was reaching.
There is no “them” beyond the reach of Jesus. No one is too far gone. No one is disqualified.
God wants to save even them.

“God shows no partiality.” — Acts 10:34The gospel is for everyone. Even them. Even you.

The person you’ve written off. The person who seems too far gone. The person you think would never come to Jesus.
Even them.
And if you’re the one wondering, “Is there still hope for me?” — even you.
No one is beyond the reach of the grace of Jesus. God still saves unlikely people, reaches broken people, and changes lives.
There is hope today.

What could God do in you and through you if you simply made yourself available?

This Sunday at Fervent Church, we continue our verse-by-verse study through the Book of Acts in Acts 10:1–48, where God brings together Peter and Cornelius in a moment that changes the course of the early church.

God is working on both sides—preparing Cornelius to hear the gospel while preparing Peter to go. Along the way, God challenges Peter’s assumptions, breaks down barriers, and reveals that the good news of Jesus Christ is for everyone who believes.

And when the Holy Spirit is poured out “even on the Gentiles,” everything changes.

Last week we asked, “Are you available?” This week we’ll see what can happen on the other side of that availability and obedience.

Join us as we talk about:

* Being available for God to use—and change—you
* How God prepares people before we ever arrive
* Peter’s vision and the meaning of clean and unclean
* Breaking down unnecessary barriers to reaching people
* Sharing the gospel without compromising the gospel
* The Holy Spirit being poured out on the Gentiles
* Why Acts 10 still matters for Christians today
