At The Father’s House, there’s a growing conviction that discipleship was never meant to belong to a single ministry.

It belongs to a community.

Because students are being formed long before they walk into a classroom, a youth gathering, or a Sunday service.

They’re watching.

Watching how adults pray.
How they serve.
How they handle failure.
How they talk about Jesus when nobody is asking them to.

The next generation does not need perfect examples.

They need authentic ones.

Parents. Grandparents. Teachers. Pastors. Friends.

Everyone has a role to play.

So pray boldly.

Serve faithfully.

Live honestly.

Bring what’s hidden into the light.

Because faith is often caught long before it is taught.

At The Father’s House, there’s a belief that raising up the next generation is not the responsibility of a few.

It’s the shared calling of an entire church family.

Matthew 14:13–21Thanks for reading!

06/04/2026

At The Father’s House, there’s a growing conviction that God does not wait for people to reach a certain age before He begins working through them.

Paul reminded Timothy:

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young.

Instead, set an example.

In speech.
In conduct.
In love.
In faith.
In purity.

Because the Spirit of God is not reserved for a particular generation.

The Spirit works through people.

Young and old.

At The Father’s House, there’s a belief that students are not future participants in the Kingdom of God.

They are present participants.

Not waiting for their turn.

Not waiting until they have everything figured out.

Not waiting until someone gives them permission.

God is already at work in them.

And perhaps one of the greatest mistakes adults can make is assuming wisdom only travels in one direction.

Sometimes the Church needs young people to remind everyone what bold faith, genuine worship, and courageous obedience look like.

The next generation is not simply being prepared for ministry.

Many are already living it.

At The Father’s House, there’s a growing conviction that the next generation is not primarily looking for perfection.

They’re looking for authenticity.

They’re watching.

Watching how adults respond to pressure.
How they treat people.
How they pray.
How they repent.
How they follow Jesus when life gets complicated.

And perhaps one of the greatest gifts that can be given to the next generation is not information alone.

It’s transformation.

Because spiritual formation has never been someone else’s responsibility.

It begins with people allowing God to shape their own hearts first.

Which means the future of faith may require some holy discomfort.

More listening.
More surrender.
More intentional discipleship.

At The Father’s House, there’s a belief that the next generation deserves more than advice.

They deserve examples.

And formation for the next generation begins with formation in us.

At The Father’s House, there’s a growing conviction that the question is not whether people are being formed.

The question is:

Who is forming them?

And what is shaping them?

Because formation is always happening.

Through relationships.
Through habits.
Through technology.
Through culture.
Through the stories people believe about themselves and the world.

The next generation knows what it means to grow up connected to everything.

And yet many are longing for something deeper.

Something rooted.

Something sacred.

At The Father’s House, there’s a belief that students are not merely the church of tomorrow.

They are the church of today.

Not people who might someday do great things.

People through whom God is already at work.

Perhaps that's why so many young people are searching for practices, rhythms, and communities that help them encounter God in a noisy world.

Not because they want more entertainment.

But because they are hungry for meaning.

Hungry for belonging.

Hungry for an authentic faith that can sustain them.

The future of the Church may not depend on finding new ways to entertain people.

It may depend on helping people become deeply formed by the presence of God.

Matthew 14:1–12 seems like a tragic story of John the Baptist’s death.

At The Father’s House, there’s a growing conviction that people have become very skilled at managing life… and increasingly unfamiliar with wonder.

People set goals.
Measure progress.
Optimize schedules.
Explain almost everything.

And still remain empty.

Because maybe information was never meant to replace awe.

Children understand this naturally.

First words become miracles.
Small steps become celebrations.
Ordinary moments become wonder.

And somewhere along the way, many adults stop noticing.

Stop marveling.

Stop believing life is charged with meaning.

Which makes the words of Jesus feel important:

Become like a child.

Not childish.

Awake.

Curious.

Open to mystery.

Perhaps the Kingdom of God is harder to recognize when people believe they’ve already explained everything.

And perhaps faith begins again where wonder returns.
