It's Convention time again! October 16-17, 2026, in Dodge City. "Who Do You Say That I Am?" is our convention theme this year. This comes from Matthew 16:15. In a world filled with noise, distraction, and uncertainty, the question still echoes across centuries: “Who do you say that I am?” It is not simply a question asked of the disciples long ago. It is a question asked of each of us today. You can register or find more information on our website. https://www.diowks.org/convention.

It's potato time! Today some of the youth picked up potatoes from Bill Roenbaugh's farm. Bill has donated all the potatoes that the you youth around the Diocese sell to earn money for the Canterbury pilgrimage that happens every three years. Check in with the youth at your church to order your delicious red potatoes! Thanks Bill for your generous donation to the Diocesan youth!

Almighty God, you created all people in your image and call us to live in freedom, justice, and peace. Have mercy on us when we forget that our liberty is bound to the well-being of others. Unmask the systems and habits that favor privilege over dignity, and awaken in us compassion for the poor, the foreigner, and the outcast. By your Holy Spirit, guide our courts and leaders, our communities and ourselves, that your love and justice may flow down like waters; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who came to proclaim good news to the poor and release to the captives, and who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen
