But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
Acts 20:24

Finishing the course and the ministry he had received from the Lord was Paul’s constant desire. His life wasn’t of any value or precious to him without that achievement. Paul’s course was plagued with obstacles, hardships, and persecutions, but his determination was, to pour himself out in the quest to finish. Steadfastness is the ability to stay the course despite the obstacles. Those who are steadfast will not allow obstacles or hardships to keep them from finishing. Problems that come are just one more reason to stay focused on the finish.
