Hurst Baptist Church (formerly Hurstview Baptist)

Hurst Baptist Church (formerly Hurstview Baptist) Welcome to the Biggest Little Church in Texas! At Hurst Baptist Church we are family. Come and see what makes us unique. Come join us.

We are located in the heart of the Fort Worth-Dallas Metroplex; in the center of the Mid-Cities. Our size gives everyone the opportunity to get noticed and to get involved. This is a place where you can grow spiritually. Our worship style holds something for everyone. Our teaching is designed to challenge you to go to a deeper level in your walk. If you are looking for a church where you can becom

e involved then this is a church you need to attend. At Hurst Baptist we believe every person has a calling and a work to do within the Body of Christ. Every member is encouraged to find their Spiritual Gift and to walk in that gifting. Not only is there an emphasis on using your gifting, people who do not know what their gifting is are taught how to discover what God has given them in the body and then empowered to follow God’s calling in their life. We start at 10:30 on Sunday Mornings. Oh, by the way, we do have one rule for our worship services: Don't come if you do not want to have fun!

Church Family,
Out of an abundance of caution and with your safety as our highest priority, we have decided to cancel full in-person services this Sunday morning due to the hazardous winter weather and road conditions in our area.

That said, the church doors will be unlocked for anyone who chooses to attend in person, but please note that the service will consist of teaching only (no full worship service elements).

We will also live stream my message at 10:30 AM so everyone can participate safely from home:

Please use your best judgment, avoid unnecessary travel if conditions are unsafe, and join us in whatever way is best for you.

Grace and peace,
Pastor Johnnie

Standing on the Promises – Lesson 7 🌟
📖 Developing a “Standing on the Promises” Mindset

Abraham was “fully convinced” that what God had promised, He was also able to perform (Romans 4:20–21). His faith wasn’t half-hearted or conditional—it rested completely on God’s ability, not on his circumstances.

That’s what a promises mindset looks like:
✅ A conviction settled before the trial comes
✅ A personal trust in God’s Word, not just a general idea
✅ A prayer life that speaks God’s promises back to Him
✅ A fellowship that surrounds you with “promise-people”
✅ A faith that surrenders the timing to God

💡 Tonight at 6:30 PM (Livestream) we’ll discover how to live with this kind of faith—fully convinced, fully assured, and fully anchored in the promises of God.

📍 Join us online and let’s grow together in standing on the promises that never fail.
