Hello former Glory Church members. I wanted to make you aware of some recent news.
Within the upcoming weeks, the old Glory Church building will be demolished as a land developer has purchased the property and will be tearing down the old building to prepare for new businesses at that location. I want to highlight a few things that we can all cherish and remember:
-Many will remember the building for its “upside-down boat” at the front end of the building that my grandfather would always allude to. 😅
-The TV show, “Living In The Glory” was filmed there for many years and our call center answered many live calls during broadcasts.
-Kids In Glory Daycare & Preschool helped hundreds of hundreds of families with daily childcare, afterschool care and preschool opportunities. KIG was able to provide many jobs for people throughout the years and was a top-rated daycare in the area.
-The youth building housed many teens throughout the years under some amazing leaders such as Mitch Ford, Tyler Rinehart, and others. Under the leadership of Melissa and I, we experienced revival in that youth building and tons of students were radically changed and transformed.
-The youth building also served as an outreach to many other churches throughout the years. I think of Trinity Harvest Church with Pastor Ray Taylor who had many incredible foundational years there before they were able to launch out and obtain their own location down the street.
-Many churches and ministries were able to occupy the entire building for many years and we saw growth with each church that leased the facilities. I think about Mision Vida Nueva with Pastors Luis and Denise Rosario who rented for many years. I also think about Catch the Fire DFW that came and spent an amazing season in our building - literaly out-growing it!
-Many plays and performances took place in the main sanctuary, opening the door for many to come attend and support their loved ones. Between Easter, Christmas, and other miscellaneous plays in-between, the stage was transformed and productions were always a success.
In conclusion, many many lives were changed in that building and we saw God show up in miraculous ways! My grandparents, Pastors Bill & Beverly Earley lead TGC, KIG, LITG with passion and dedication. Their ministry will always remain deeply embedded in our hearts and minds. The Glory Church building for most was a healing place, launching place, and a place for new starts.
✨So before it gets torn down, take the time to drive thru the parking lot and reflect. Thank the Lord for all the good times and what He did in your life there.✨
