❤️ We are only a week into Pride Month and already we have experienced a significant uptick in hateful comments. This month (and beyond) is about celebrating God's love and inclusion in all of its forms.
❤️ So, we feel called to remind our communities of our commitment to keep our spaces safe, loving and respectful, not just during Pride month, but always.

Today , the South Central Conference of the United Church of Christ celebrates the life of Rev. Arlene. May our memories of her kindness and commitment continue inspiring us. The picture below is of Arlene when we were at the Center for Action and Contemplation Conference (ReVision: What Do We Do With Christianity). It was a lovely gathering. We shared stories, meals, and strengthened our friendship. Arlene is missed. Rest in Peace, dear Arlene! 🙏🏼🕊️

We invite you to join us this Sunday, June 14th, for worship as we reflect on what it means to build the Beloved Community.
Drawing on the prophetic voices of James Baldwin and Cheryl Clarke, and the vision of the early church in Acts, we'll explore a challenging question: If Juneteenth is a story of liberation, what chapter of that story is God calling us to write today?
We also honor three clergy related to our church, and at the end of the worship, we'll have a congregational meeting to learn from the last several months and plan together for the near future.
A light lunch will be provided. We hope to see you then.

Last night we had an amazing farewell gathering for one of families who are initiating a new chapter in their lives. They will be missed but will be in our thoughts and prayers!
