God wants you to be happy—but not the way the world means it.

Andrew Wilson’s Happiness recovers a better vision:

“God is happy, and it turns out that becoming like him, glorifying him, entering his kingdom, overcoming sin, and imitating Jesus all involve us being happy as well.”

Aging isn’t a problem to erase. It’s a gift to receive wisely.

Jen Wilkin’s Dust to Dust: Aging Wisely in an Anti-Aging World helps Christians trade the world’s anti-aging focus for a true, biblical story of wisdom, dignity, and hope. She walks through midlife, caregiving, body image, and honoring the elderly in a way that stirs both mind and heart.

If you counsel others, care for aging parents, or feel the first sting of midlife, this is a book worth reading slowly.

Jen Wilkin’s Dust to Dust gives Christians a gospel-shaped way to think about aging—trading fear and anti-aging lies for wisdom, hope, and love for the people God has made. I highly recommend it fo…

The Death of the Deadly Sins, edited by Daniel M. Doriani, is a biblically grounded, historically rich, and pastorally wise call to recover a robust vision of Christian virtue. Rather than treating the seven deadly sins as outdated categories or reducing sanctification to behavior modification, the contributors root virtue in gospel transformation. Drawing from Scripture, church history, and practical theology, the book shows how God’s grace reorders disordered loves through the ordinary means of grace, moving Christians from vice to virtue. This is an excellent resource for anyone seeking deeper spiritual formation, renewed Christian character, and a clearer vision of holiness that magnifies the beauty of Christ in a fallen world.

When your spouse’s heart feels hard, hope can feel distant. Marriage is difficult because two sinners are joined together, and conflict is inevitable. But your hope was never meant to rest in your marriage—it rests in Christ.

Respond with long-suffering love, remembering the mercy God has shown you in Christ (Rom. 5:8). Pray faithfully—not only for your spouse to change, but for God to shape your heart through the trial (Rom. 5:1–5). Speak the truth in love, avoiding both silence and harshness (Eph. 4:15), and seek wise, godly help when needed (Matt. 18).

You may not be able to change your spouse’s heart—but God can. And even if He doesn’t, He will be faithful to change you.

In the book Redeeming S*x in Marriage, Scott Mehl offers a profound and practical guide for married couples seeking to understand the divine purpose of s*x within a framework. The book is both deeply theological and richly practical, aiming to empower couples to embrace God’s design for *x as a means of covenantal union, mutual pleasure, marital love, procreation, and a reflection of our relationship with Christ. Mehl’s prayer is that readers “discover both the God-given nature of your *xuality and the magnitude of Christ’s power to redeem it,” which is clearly seen throughout the book.
