IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM HURDLE MILLS INDEPENDENT BAPTIST CHURCH
BRING YOUR CHILDREN TO CHURCH. ❤️
If your children are loud, bring them anyway.
If you’re running late because getting everyone ready was a battle, come anyway. Because honestly you are not the only one fighting that same battle.
If your toddler won’t sit still, come anyway.
If your baby cries, needs to eat, or needs a diaper change, come anyway.
If your child asks questions at the least convenient moment, come anyway.
If someone drops a toy, needs a snack, or makes another trip to the bathroom, come anyway.
If your child doesn’t know every word to the hymns or doesn’t know exactly when to sit or stand, come anyway.
And if you feel like you spent more time keeping up with your children than listening to the sermon, come anyway.
You see children do not learn to love church by staying home until they can sit perfectly still.
They learn by being here.
They learn the hymns by hearing us sing.
They learn to pray by hearing us pray.
They learn how to worship by watching us worship.
They learn the Bible by hearing the Word of God preached.
They learn that church is a place where they belong because we make room for them.
The little voices, the wiggles, the crying babies, the dropped crayons, and the occasional distractions are not signs that something is wrong.
They are signs that there is a next generation being raised in the house of God.
Jesus said: Mark 10:14b.
“Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.”
So bring the babies.
Bring the toddlers.
Bring the children.
Bring the whole family.
Just come.
Children are not merely the future of the church. They are part of the church right now.
