Riley Young and Mary Alice Grissom attended the 2026 Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership (HOBY) North Carolina East seminar at NC State this past weekend. HOBY is a three day program designed for high school sophomores to develop leadership skills through interactive workshops, panel sessions, and community service projects. These students were nominated by the school to attend and they did a great job of representing RCS!

We are looking for pastors to do a story time at our Summer Literacy program. It takes about 20 minutes and the pastor can supply their own story or we can supply one. This is a great opportunity to witness to children. The Literacy program is for children who have fallen behind in reading skills and are in real danger of not getting caught up in the school system. We are using trained elementary school teachers to train these children but we also want to give them Jesus. This is our first year and is sponsored by churches in Person County and is ran by a Wesleyan mission organization (PUMP) in Person County. Mt Zion is the first year location !
