Together we have REALLY ticked off the devil! Perhaps you heard that we were treated by a plague of rats over 6 months ago. It was reported, as we had sealed our portion of the building, but due to the open highway for entry in the portion of the building attached to us, we could do nothing but continue to report the problem to our landlord. Over this period of time this Pastor and volunteers has learned far more about rats' habits than we would ever have expected or wanted to have to learn!! Unfortunately, this occurred at the same time we were freshening up our church to welcome folks back after covid had postponed our worship services. The facts became clear that our building was uninhabitable, unhealthy, and definitely NOT what we would want for those choosing to join us in worship. We continued to serve requests for outreach, collect the mail, and our Little Free Pantry stayed as busy as a grocery store right before snow is predicted. thanks to the community involvement! Yesterday all of the things that we were able to save from rats, were delivered to storage units and our Little Pantry is awaiting a new home. We are continuing to search for an appropriate and affordable location and feel strongly that the words of Paul to the churches of Ephesus are alive and well in our hearts today...that just as Ephesus played a vital role in the spread of Christianity, we, too will continue to shine the light of God's LOVE, for God's Spirit is within us, as it is in each of you. Please pray for us as we journey forth in faith.
