HOT Friday but in about a half day we knocked out another handicap ramp for a Huntsville family in need. As always, a splendid team effort and an exquisite end product. And, of great note, our Team Chaplain led two more to the Family of God on our day out—one at the coffee shop on the way to the job and another from across the street where we were serving. That’s what it’s all about—Delivering the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST through our MINISTRY of Diaster Relief (handicap ramp building included)!

God’s timing and our “Johnny Cash Cadillac” handicap ramp. In our ramp ministry, we are most often constructing. However there are times like a few weeks ago when we are called to remove previously-built projects. Fast forward now to a couple of weeks ago when a young man in our church suffered serious injuries in an automobile accident. After being patched up and following rehabilitation, he is scheduled to return home in a week or so on the mend but wheelchair-bound for at least eight weeks. Now to the “Johnny Cash Cadillac” analogy… today our team was able to re-purpose salvageable materials from recent tear-downs to construct an on-target emergency handicap ramp that will permit mobility (via wheelchair) for this young man to “come and go” until he is once again able to bear weight and walk normally. Another super team effort by our Madison Baptists Disaster Relief Volunteers 👍😊.

Today was a day to meet the critical need of a local Huntsville Senior Care Services provider. Our lean, mean team of three volunteers have made the transport of senior tenants to and from various medical appointments and other activities so much easier on the tenants and care givers alike. 👍😊

Willowbrook Church recently held their annual Men’s Dinner with an attendance this year topping 300. Not to miss such a grand opportunity to recruit new volunteers for Alabama Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, Madison Baptist Association in particular, Dean Montgomery—a member of Willowbrook and active Madison Association Disaster Relief Volunteer—manned a very impressive information display in conjunction with the dinner/evening. Super job, Dean, in representing our many active Madison Baptists Disaster Relief Volunteers who are dedicated to delivering the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST through the MINISTRY of Disaster Relief!

Did it again! Jack, Fred, Jr, Rick, Mike and Ron spent this Saturday doing volunteer work for the Huntsville Assistance Program Clearing House. Those volunteers had been battling a significantly decaying ramp/platform n taking in and distributing food items to needy families. Now when volunteers return for ministry on Monday, they will begin enjoying a sturdy, more efficient ramp/platform erected for them by our team. Another great job TEAM!
