La Romana-Altagracia Church of God of Prophecy-Mission Project

La Romana-Altagracia Church of God of Prophecy-Mission Project We are partnering with a dynamic church in the Dominican Republic to build a church building for their growing congregation. Make the vision come true!

Goal: To raise $250,000 to build a church that will house around 700 people in this community. Method: If 500 people/church/families would give $500 we would have the funds to complete this church building. Story: Just about 3 years ago the National offices had reviewed a struggling church plant in the Alta Gracia area of La Ramona. After reviewing it they were leaning toward shutting it down beca

use it had struggled so much. However, in this time a lady from this community sent a letter saying that she was not saved but when she would get saved she would need this church so she could. From this point, the National Office determined to make this a successful church plant. A new pastor was brought it who was young and energetic. He and his family began meeting and soon the church began to grow. Then they found a corner lot in their community and made arrangements to purchase it. Which they did and paid off! The congregation quickly filled the small building that they were using as a sanctuary with people standing outside to be involved in service. Now it was time for this growing and exciting church to look to build a building to help their vision come true.

Pastor Juan Pablo shared that the church has recently been able to purchase a $3,000 generator to power the church in case of a loss of power. They are now planning to build a room for the generator to be safe and protected.

Praise the Lord!!

Here is some water that came in the building after the recent hurricane. The water has damaged some sound equipment. Here is the message from Pastor Juan Pablo:

“There is one of the speakers and an amplifier that we need to replace. the approximate cost is from 950 to 1,150 dollars. the Church will take from a fund that we have for the investor is 400 dollars.”

If you would like to give you can give to your local church (in the Church of God of Prophecy) noting the church in La Romana Pastor Juan Pablo or give to the link attached.

Half of the building has a metal roof now. It has been leaking however and we are working to get it repaired. The need is to still add a concrete roof to withstand strong winds and storms. This goal is $50,000.
