Before the Throne - August 2026

Praising God for...
*taking our feet to boys & girls who needed to hear about Him this summer. Many kids were hearing of Noah & Zacchaeus for the first time.
*15 5-Day Clubs where 426 kids heard the Gospel, 2 were counseled for salvation & 4 for assurance, & many spiritual questions were answered.
*health, safety, & strength through long hours & about 2,500 miles - including a flat tire on I565!
*providing ministry partners like you who served by teaching clubs, faithfully praying, & cheerfully giving to meet our need of $11,250.

Trusting God...
*to send teachers to Good News Club Training Saturday, August 15 in Decatur & on Zoom August 29.
*to form new & to grow continuing Good News Clubs to tell more boys & girls about Jesus.
*to help GNC teams as they begin clubs & that God will bring kids that need Him.
*to call 4 new CEF committee members willing to lead in areas of prayer, ministry, finance, or personnel.
*to call a ministry coordinator to reach more kids in counties all over North AL.

Wackiest place we taught a club: A RAQUETBALL COURT
It was raining, & it was the only room left at the YMCA. Just imagine...the echo with children, it was so cold every child huddled, shaking in their shirt, and then one of the lights began blinking. Our God is so powerful-He worked in kids' hearts in spite of it all!

We're still celebrating our founder, Jesse Overholtzer's 149th birthday!

Decades ago, an ordinary man sat alone with a globe. He would place his finger on a country, close his eyes, and weep for the children he would never meet. He prayed a bold, impossible prayer: that "someday God would raise up an army of evangelists to encircle the globe, telling boys and girls about Jesus."

Today, that beautiful prayer is being answered in ways Mr. O could have only dreamed. Because of God's faithfulness, 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘌𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘮 𝘍𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 impacted over 34 million children in our last ministry year alone.

Let that sink in. That means one child hears the life-changing message of Jesus every single second of every minute of every hour of every day. Praise the Lord!
Recently, Focus on the Family honored his legacy by naming Mr. O in their 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘍𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘏𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘦𝘴 booklet. He was a true testament to what an ordinary person can do through the extraordinary power of God.
But the mission continues. We are walking in his footsteps, straining toward a God-sized vision to reach 100 million children annually. The next generation is waiting, and they need hope.
