20% of the people are doing 80% of the work… and we’ve called it normal.
But it’s not normal, and it’s not biblical.

When the Body is alive, every part supplies something.
Every gift matters.
Every believer carries weight.

Most churches don’t have a volunteer problem — they have a circulation problem.

That’s why I wrote The Living Church.
It’s a call back to discipleship, formation, and spiritual maturity…
so the life of the Body can flow again.

If you’re ready to see a healthy, functioning church, you can order your copy on Amazon.

Take a Pause: Belonging Before Participation

“You belong before you behave. You are named before you are assigned. You are known before you are needed.” (Quote from the book The Living Church)

If church has ever made you feel like you had to earn your place…
If you’ve ever felt like you had to perform, produce, or prove something to be accepted…
Take a deep breath.

That is not the way of Jesus.

In the Kingdom, identity comes before responsibility.
Belonging comes before participation.
Love comes before expectation.

You don’t have to hustle for spiritual approval.
You don’t have to audition for God’s family.
You don’t have to hide the parts of you that feel unfinished.

You are already His.

Scripture for You Today

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God — and that is what we are.” — 1 John 3:1

A Prayer for You

Father, remind me that I am Yours before I am anything else. Heal the places where performance has replaced belonging. Restore my identity as Your child. Amen.

If this speaks to you, The Living Church will help you rediscover the kind of belonging that forms you — not drains you.

Why did I write this book?

Because I’ve watched the Church become busy, but not always formed.
Because people are serving faithfully while carrying silent burdens.
Because ministry has become activity‑heavy and soul‑light.
Because I believe we can return to a way of leading that actually shapes hearts, not just schedules.

I wrote this book to remind us that discipleship happens in the small moments — in presence, in Scripture, in reflection, in relationships.

I wrote it for the person who is tired, faithful, and still longing for something deeper.
I wrote it for the leaders who want to shepherd, not just manage.
I wrote it because formation is possible right where we are.

And I wrote it in obedience.
Walking in faith.

This journey has stretched me, refined me, and taught me to trust God in deeper ways. I’m grateful, humbled, and walking in faith as I share this with you.

Inside, you’ll also find Bonus Reflections — added for those who want to pause, breathe, and go a little deeper on their formation journey.

If this book reaches even one person who needs it, that’s enough for me.

Have you ever felt like the Church was busy… but not fully alive?

That question stayed with me—and it’s what led me to write The Living Church.

This book is a reflection on how we’ve come to see the Church as something to manage and maintain, rather than something that lives. It is an invitation to return to the Church’s identity as a Body, a family, a household—an organism instead of an organization, where life is meant to circulate.

At the center of that return is a discipleship process that forms people and allows that life to flow throughout the Body.

If you read it and it resonates with you, I would be grateful if you would leave a review or share a recommendation. Your voice helps this message reach others.

Exciting News! Coming Soon... 📖✨

I am so thrilled to announce in just a few days my book will be published. It has been a lifetime in the making. The Living Church: Reclaiming Discipleship as a Living Process is coming soon!

This book is an invitation to shift our perspective—moving away from seeing the church as a rigid organization and reclaiming it as a living, breathing organism. Drawing from 49 years of observation, I explore how we can activate the "100%" so that life and ministry circulate freely through the entire Body of Christ.

This is more than just a book; it’s the first step in a series of Discipleship Training Tools I’ve developed to help churches grow and form believers intospiritually mature disciples.

If you want to know when the book is published on Amazon, comment “The Living Church” and I will make sure I send you the link.

Stay tuned for more updates as I prepare for "The Next Chapter!" 🌿🙌🏾

Just sent my book back for final edits—hoping to be published April 1.

One of the core truths in it is this:

The Church is not an organization to be managed.
It is an organism meant to live.

So let me ask:

Why are 20% doing 80% of the work?

Pastor—are you seeing it?
And for others—are you present, but not yet activated?

Jesus didn’t call a few to carry the many.
He formed disciples—each with a place.

It’s time to become a Church where 100% of the willing are activated.

This is the Living Church!
