Rooted Retreat

Rooted Retreat Rooted Retreat exists to introduce incoming students to the body of Christ on campus.

Rooted Retreat is a 3-day retreat experience held in August for incoming students at SHSU, lead by current SHSU students. It exists to welcome incoming students to campus and introduce them to the body of Christ in Huntsville. It serves students by connecting them to other students, local churches, and ministries that will provide biblical community and fellowship founded on the truth of scripture

and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It seeks to explicitly share the gospel, allow students to meet fellow believers, and encourage involvement in a local Huntsville church. At Rooted Retreat, incoming students will be able to meet other incoming SHSU students, meet current SHSU believers, participate in small group discussion, attend worship and teaching sessions, interact with church leadership and ministry organizations through a ministry fair, learn how to grow in their faith in breakout sessions, and have a whole lot of late-night fun with games and activities.
